Top-Four Seeds Advance to the 2026 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship Semifinal Round (4.17.26)

Top-seeded Terriers, Mids, Black Knights and Mountain Hawks advance to the semifinals

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The top four seeds advanced to the semifinal round of the 2026 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship following quarterfinal victories on Friday at Bucknell’s Varsity Tennis Courts.

Top-seeded Boston University opened its 2025 title defense with a 4-0 victory over No. 9 Holy Cross. The Terriers claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 doubles (6-1) and No. 3 doubles (6-0), before securing three straight-set singles victories. Freshman Vasilisa Borisova, sophomore Gabriella Mikaul and junior Emily Zhao each earned wins to clinch the match.

No. 4 Lehigh punched its ticket to the semifinal round with a 4-0 win over No. 5 Loyola Maryland. The Mountain Hawks secured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, then closed out the match with three singles wins, highlighted by Giselle Vlassis’s 7-5, 2-6, 6-0 clinching victory at No. 3 singles.

No. 3 Army West Point advanced to the semifinals with a 4-0 win over No. 6 Bucknell. The Black Knights earned the doubles point with a pair of 6-3 victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, then recorded three straight-set singles wins at No. 5, No. 4 and No. 3 to seal the match.

No. 2 Navy defeated No. 7 Colgate, 4-0, to advance to the semifinal round. The Midshipmen took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles before earning three consecutive straight-set singles victories to secure the sweep.

The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship continues Saturday with No. 1 Boston University facing No. 4 Lehigh at 10 a.m., followed by No. 2 Army West Point taking on No. 3 Navy at 2 p.m.
