Four Black Knights Earn Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse All-American Honors

BALTIMORE, Md. – The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Army men's lacrosse team as four Black Knights earned recognition to the 2026 Inside Lacrosse All-American teams. Sean Byrne and Evan Plunkett earned places on the First Team, John Sullivan claimed Third Team honors, and Keagan Treacy secured Honorable Mention recognition.

The recognition marks the fourth time Plunkett garnered Inside Lacrosse All-American honors, Byrne's second Inside Lacrosse All-American honors, and the first time Sullivan and Treacy have received the recognition.

The quartet of Black Knights all earned USA Lacrosse All-American honors earlier in the week.

Sean Byrne | First Team All-American
Byrne collected his Inside Lacrosse First Team All-American recognition after a dominant season in goal for the Black Knights. After the regular season, Byrne leads the nation for save percentage and stands sixth in the nation for goals-against average. A Tewaaraton Top 25 Finalist, Byrne earned a nation-leading .613 save percentage with a career-high 196 saves this season for an 8.05 goals against average during his career-high 924 minutes in goal for Army. With his efforts in goal, the Black Knights have held their opponents to just 134 goals allowed, finishing the regular season third in the nation in man-down defense on a .868 clip.

Evan Plunkett | First Team All-American
Plunkett earned his Inside Lacrosse First Team All-American honors during a remarkable senior campaign for the midfielder. The Georgia native has been a key producer for Army throughout his career and with his output this season now stands eighth among Army's all-time scoring leaders with 186 career points and is the highest scoring midfielder in program history. A Tewaaraton Top 25 Finalist, Plunkett leads Army's offense in 2026 with 62 points and 39 assists this season while standing fourth on the team in goals with 23. He also stands fifth in program history for career assists with 99. A threat on both sides of the ball, Plunkett totals 14 ground balls in 2026 with seven caused turnovers to his name to help Army to its 11-3 regular season record.

John Sullivan | Third Team All-American
Sullivan secured his Inside Lacrosse Third Team All-American status after stepping up to lead a young Army defense through an impressive 2026 campaign. Sullivan has been an indomitable defender this season for the Black Knights, leading the team with 20 caused turnovers while picking up 29 ground balls. With Sullivan's input on the back line, the Black Knights finished the regular season leading the Patriot League and standing fourth in the nation in scoring defense (8.38) and in winning percentage (.813) as well as third in the nation in man-down defense (.868). Sullivan has seized his opportunities to attack the goal himself, tallying three goals and dishing out two assists for five points in his senior season.

Keagan Treacy | Honorable Mention All-American
Treacy claimed his Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American honors after helping Army dominate the midfield this season as a short-stick defensive midfielder. With Treacy's presence in the midfield, Army outperformed its opponents in ground balls (489-427), caused turnovers (137-112), successful clears (325-305), and goals scored (208-134). Treacy himself collected 21 ground balls while causing 13 turnovers for Army's opponents while scoring a goal and tallying three assists in 2026.
