Patriot League 2026-27 Women’s Swimming and Diving Preview (9.24.26)

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The 2026-27 Patriot League women’s swimming and diving season opens this weekend, with the League’s 10 programs competing by early October.

Defending Patriot League champion Navy looks to capture its 15th straight crown as the Mids welcome back six All-League honorees, including 2026 Women’s Rookie of the Year Corinee Warriner.

Army West Point finished runner-up for the fourth consecutive year at last year’s Patriot League Championships and returns a handful of All-League performers, led by 2026 Women’s Swimmer and Highest Point Scorer of the Meet Angie McKane.

The 2027 Patriot League Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship will take place Wednesday, February 17, through Saturday, February 20, at Bucknell University’s Kinney Natatorium in Lewisburg, Pa.

AMERICAN EAGLES
Head Coach: Garland Bartlett (6th season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 18/11
All-League Returnees: First Team: Piper Crosby; Second Team: Marin Priddy

Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Garland Bartlett, American returns 18 letterwinners from last year’s squad that finished eighth at the Patriot League Championships. Juniors and All-Patriot League nominees Piper Crosby (First Team) and Marin Priddy (Second Team) will guide the Eagles into the 2026-27 season, which begins this weekend with the Potomac Relay Invitational at George Mason’s Aquatic and Fitness Center.

ARMY WEST POINT BLACK KNIGHTS
Head Coach: Scott Thacker (1st season)
All-League Returnees: First Team: Angie McKane, Jenna Hart; Second Team: Sydney Braeger, Cora Webber, Amelia Lester

Scott Thacker takes over as head coach of the Army West Point women’s swimming and diving program as the Black Knights look to capture their first Patriot League title since 1991 following four consecutive runner-up finishes. Army West Point returns a handful of All-Patriot League performers, including 2026 Women’s Swimmer of the Meet Angie McKane, who collected seven gold medals and was the Women’s Highest Point Scorer with 96 points. Jenna Hart, Sydney Braeger, Cora Webber and Ameila Lester will also lead the Black Knights.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY TERRIERS
Head Coach: James Sica (4th season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 18/4
All-League Returnees: First Team: Alayna Kennedy; Second Team: Kiki Rampersad, Danka Ndubuisi, Molly Barber

James Sica looks to lead the Boston University women’s swimming and diving program to another top four finish at the Patriot League Championships following the Terriers 914-point performance a season ago. The Terriers return several All-League performers, including 2026 Women’s Divier of the Meet Alayna Kennedy, who secured gold medals in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events. Additionally, BU will be led by Kiki Rampersad, Danka Ndubuisi and Molly Barber, who each earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors in 2026.

BUCKNELL BISON
Head Coach: Josh Huger (1st season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 24/8
All-League Returnees: First Team: Kelly Byrne, Clara Renner; Second Team: Sydney Dettmann, Tori Castro

Following the departure of long-time head coach Dan Schinnerer, the Bucknell women’s swimming and diving program turns to new leadership as Josh Huger takes over the helm. The Bison return a strong core of 24 letterwinners that includes four All-League performers. Led by two-time First Team All-Patriot League swimmer Clara Renner, Bucknell will lean on Kelly Byrne, who captured the 400-yard individual medley last year, as well as Second Team All-Patriot Leaguers Sydney Dettmann and Tori Castro.

COLGATE RAIDERS
Head Coach: Ed Pretre (8th season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 21/9
All-League Returnees: First Team:
MG King; Second Team: Paige Fisher

Ed Petre begins his eighth season as head coach of Colgate’s women’s swimming and diving program and will turn to All-Patriot League honorees MG King (First Team) and Paige Fisher (Second Team) to help the Raiders to another successful season. King, who recorded 55 points at last year’s Patriot League Championships, will look to defend her title in the 200-yard backstroke, while Fisher looks to build off her 64-point performance from a season ago.

HOLY CROSS CRUSADERS
Head Coach: Kristy Jones (5th season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 19/6
All-League Returnees: None

Kristy Jones enters her fifth year as head coach of Holy Cross’ women’s swimming and diving program and welcomes back 19 letterwinners for the 2026-27 campaign. The Crusaders feature a quartet of key returners, including seniors Kat Anticev and Devin Brindle as well as juniors Ellie Reinhart and Brenna Short.

LAFAYETTE LEOPARDS
Head Coach: Mike Rinde (1st season)
Letterwinners retuning/lost: 40/10
All-League Returnees: None

Following the retirement of longtime head coach Jim Dailey, Lafayette turns to Mike Rinde to lead the Lafayette women’s swimming and diving program into the 2026-27 campaign. The Leopards will look to top returners, seniors Abby Bebel, Mia Guster, Natalie Johnson and Daisy Decker, junior Meghan Robinson, and sophomores Frankie DiGiovanni and Krissy Fleck.

LEHIGH MOUNTAIN HAWKS
Head Coach: Rob Herb (23rd season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 17/5
All-League Returnees: Second Team: Eliza Johnson, Clara Moschella

The Lehigh women’s swimming and diving program returns 17 letterwinners headed into the 2026-27 season under the direction of 23rd-year head coach Rob Herb. The Mountain Hawks will look to build off last year’s sixth-place finish as they return a pair of Second Team All-League honorees in junior Clara Moschella and junior Eliza Johnson.

LOYOLA MARYLAND GREYHOUNDS
Head Coach: Brian Loeffler (35th season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 35/7
All-League Returnees: First Team: Haley Robinson; Second Team: Christine Datovech, Riley Fried (2025)

Coming off its second-best finish ever at the Patriot League Championships, the Loyola Maryland women’s swimming and diving program looks to keep that momentum headed into the 2026-27 season. Led by 35th-year head coach Brian Loeffler, the Greyhounds return a trio of All-League performers, including senior Haley Robinson, who became just the third Loyola Maryland woman to win a Patriot League individual swimming and diving title, striking gold in the 50-yard freestyle. Senior Riley Fried and junior Christine Datovech return having earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors in their careers.

NAVY
Head Coach: John Morrison (23rd season)
Letterwinners returning/lost: 29/8
All-League Returnees: First Team: Allie Maloney, Erin Miller, Brynn Stoneburg, Corinne Warriner; Second Team: Ela Habjan, Marin Rose

Under the direction of 23rd-year head coach John Morrison, Navy seeks its 15th straight Patriot League title and 25th overall in program history as the Mids return a League-high 29 letterwinners from last year’s championship squad. Six All-League honorees return to the pool for Navy, including 2026 Women’s Rookie of the Meet Corinne Warriner, who recorded a pair of podium finishes and 70 individual points. Additional First Team All-League returners are Allie Maloney, Erin Miller and Brynn Stoneburg as well as Second Team honorees Ela Habjan and Marin Rose.
