BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy collected two of the five Patriot League women’s lacrosse weekly honors when the League office announced them on Monday. Army West Point, Lehigh and Loyola Maryland each received one weekly accolade.
Navy senior defender Lauren Herrington was named Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after picking up eight ground balls and causing five turnovers in Navy wins against George Mason (18-9) and Colgate (12-5) last week. Freshman attacker Lindsay Beardmore claimed rookie of the week honors after totaling eight points on four goals and four assists in her first collegiate action.
Army West Point senior attacker Jackie Brattan earned her second-consecutive Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Attacker of the Week. She finished with six points on five goals and one assist to lead the Black Knights to a 15-8 win over Boston University to clinch the top seed in the Patriot League’s North Division.
Lehigh graduate student midfielder Sondra Dickey picked up Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Week for the fifth time this season and the 13th time of her career. She finished with seven draw controls, six ground balls and six caused turnovers to go along with two goals and an assist in an 18-5 win over Lafayette.
Loyola Maryland senior Kaitlyn Larsson received Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season after finishing with a .889 save percentage in the Greyhounds’ 20-3 victory over Bucknell.
Army West Point senior defender Beth Hofmann, Boston University senior midfielder Emily Vervlied, Lehigh senior goalkeeper Samantha Sagi and sophomore attacker Gabby Schneider, Loyola Maryland junior defender Katie Detwiler, senior attacker Livy Rosenzweig and midfielder Jillian Wilson, and Navy senior midfielder Marina Lazarides all received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE ATTACKER OF THE WEEK
Jackie Brattan, Army West Point, Sr., Attacker, Garden City, N.Y./Garden City
*Brattan posted a six-point performance with five goals and one assist in a 15-8 win over Boston University to clinch the top seed in the Patriot League North Division.
*She had a hand in the Black Knights’ first four goals, with three goals and one assist. She added the final two goals of the contest.
*Brattan is averaging 3.67 goals per game in six League contests, good for third in the Patriot League.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Sondra Dickey, Lehigh, Gr., Midfielder, Paoli, Pa./Conestoga
*Dickey posted this season’s League single-game high of six caused turnovers and matched the single-game high with six ground balls in Lehigh’s 18-5 victory over Lafayette.
*She totaled three points on two goals and one assist, in addition to winning seven draw controls in the victory over the Leopards.
*Dickey is fourth in NCAA DI with 2.78 caused turnovers per game and has collected 13 Patriot League weekly honors during her career.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

*In two games, Herrington picked up eight ground balls and caused five turnovers to lead Navy to victories over George Mason (18-9) and Colgate (12-5).
*Herrington finished with a team-leading five ground balls and three caused turnovers to lead a Navy defensive effort in holding the Raiders’ to five goals, their lowest scoring output of the year.
*She picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers in the Mids’ 18-9 win over the Patriots.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn Larsson, Loyola Maryland, Sr., Goalkeeper, Garden City, N.Y./Garden City
*Larsson made eight saves and allowed one goal while posting a season-best .889 save percentage in the Greyhounds’ 20-3 victory over Bucknell.
*The senior goalkeeper made seven of her eight saves in the first half against a Bison offense that had combined to score 30 goals in consecutive wins against American and Colgate.
*Larsson leads the Patriot League and is ninth in NCAA DI in goals-against average (8.34).
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

*Beardmore posted eight points on four goals and four assists in Navy’s wins over George Mason (18-9) and Colgate (12-5).

*Rosenzweig totaled five points on two goals and three assists, along with six draw controls in a 20-3 victory over Bucknell. She became the third Greyhound and the eighth women’s lacrosse student-athlete in Patriot League history to reach 300 career points. She is eighth in NCAA DI with 5.60 points per game.
