BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy claimed three of the five Patriot League women’s lacrosse weekly awards when honors were announced Monday. American and Loyola Maryland each received one accolade.
Navy sophomore Alyssa Chung claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Attacker of the Week for the second time this season. She posted a career-high eight points on five goals and three assists in the Mids’ 14-8 win over Army West Point.
Navy junior Mikayla Williams won her first Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Week this season, finishing with six points on three goals and three assists to go along with four draw controls in the win over the Black Knights.
Navy junior Jalin Jenkins was named Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the first time. She held Army’s Allison Reilly without a point, while leading a Navy defense that limited the Black Knights to eight goals.
American sophomore Brooke Hill earned Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the first time after posting a League-best .682 save percentage with 15 saves in the Eagles’ 14-7 win over Holy Cross.
Loyola Maryland freshman Mae Murphy was voted Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season after posting a career-high 19 draw controls to go along with two caused turnovers and one ground ball in an 18-11 win over Colgate.
American junior defender Deirdre Brown and senior midfielder Reagan Murdoch, Bucknell senior attack Katie Browne, junior goalkeeper Bella Crowley and senior defender Catherine Dineen, Lehigh first-year goalkeeper Micaela Jennings and senior attacker Karina Van der Walt, Loyola Maryland sophomore attacker Lauren Perfetto and sophomore midfielder Mim Suares-Jury and Navy junior goalkeeper Felicia Giglio received honorable mentions.
The Patriot League women’s lacrosse players of the week are selected by a vote of League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*The junior midfielder matched a game-high with four draw controls.
*She scored the Mids’ first goal of the game, scoring twice and dishing out two assists in the first half to help Navy build an 8-3 lead by the break.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jalin Jenkins, Navy, Jr., Defender, Chevy Chase, Md./Bullis
*Jenkins marked Army’s Allison Reilly, who entered the game second in NCAA DI in points per game, holding her without a point for the first time this season.
*She helped Navy’s defense hold its eighth opponent of the season to single-digit goals, holding No. 14 Army West Point to fewer than 10 goals for just the third time this season.
*The junior defender picked up one ground ball and helped the Mids convert 21 clear attempts.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

*Hill posted a .682 save percentage, making 15 saves and allowing just seven goals to lead American to a 14-7 win over Holy Cross.
*The sophomore goalkeeper made five straight second-half saves, holding the Crusaders to just three goals after the break to post the best save percentage of any Patriot League goalkeeper last week.
*She also picked up three ground balls in the Eagles’ second League win.

*Murphy won a career-best 19 draw controls in Loyola Maryland’s 18-11 victory over Colgate to improve to 6-1 in League play.
*The freshman defender/draw specialist added two caused turnovers and one ground ball for the Greyhounds’ defense.
*She is 11 draw controls away from becoming the third different player in Patriot League history to reach 200 draw controls in a season.

*Murdoch finished with six points on five goals and one assist to lead American to a 14-7 victory over Holy Cross. The senior midfielder posted her fifth game of the season with four or more points and reached 150 career points in the win over the Crusaders.
Katie Browne, Bucknell, Sr., Attack, Huntington, N.Y./Huntington
*Browne scored four goals and picked up one ground ball in Bucknell’s 15-8 win over Lafayette. She scored three goals in the second quarter to help the Bison build a 7-3 halftime lead.

*Crowley recorded a .500 save percentage with seven saves in 50 minutes of Bucknell’s 15-8 win over Lafayette. She also picked up three ground balls to help the Bison improve to 4-2 and take sole possession of fourth place.

*Dineen posted four caused turnovers and four ground balls in addition to scoring her first collegiate goal in Bucknell’s 15-8 win over Lafayette. She helped the Bison defense limit the Leopards to eight goals.
