ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Richmond surged into the lead with a team score of 37-over par 613, following the second round of play at the 2022 Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship at the U.S. Naval Golf Club in Annapolis, Md. Boston University trails the Spiders by one stroke (+38, 614) with 18 holes remaining.
The Spiders fired a 14-over par 302 on a windy second day of the championship, with defending individual medalist sophomore Rory Weinfurther carding a 2-over par 74 to move into a second-place tie at 7-over par 151 through two rounds. Junior Vicky Zhu is fifth overall at 8-over par 152 after firing a 6-over par 78 during Saturday’s round.
Boston University sophomore Flair Kuan leads the field at 6-over par 150 after shooting a 2-over par 74 in the second round. Her score helped the Terriers shoot a tournament-best round of 13-over par 301 to sit one stroke behind Richmond through 36 holes. After firing an even-par 72 in the second round, freshman Christy Chen is tied for sixth place, while senior Hanako Kawasaki is 10th at 13-over par 157.
Lehigh shot a second-round team score of 25-over par 313 to slip to third place (+41, 617) through two rounds. Sophie Holland and first-year Madison Pineda are tied for second at 7-over par 151, while sophomore Sophia Taverna is tied for eighth at 12-over par 156.
Navy finished with a 28-over par 316 in the second round to slip to fourth place (+46, 622) with 18 holes left to play. Sophomore Stephanie Lee is tied for sixth place after two rounds at 10-over par 154. Freshman Bridget Hoang is tied for eighth at 12-over par 156 after shooting a 6-over par 78 for the second straight day.
Bucknell has shot a team score of 77-over par 653 through two rounds to remain in fifth place. Senior Sun Woo Jeon leads the Bison in a tie for 11th-place at 14-over par 158. Her second-round score of 2-over par 74 was tied for the second-lowest round of the day.
Holy Cross rounds out the field with a team score of 89-over par 665 through two days after posting a 39-over par 327 in the second round. Freshman Manuela Herrera leads the Crusaders at 16-over par 160 through two rounds.

TEAM CHAMPION EARNS AUTOMATIC BID TO THE NCAA REGIONALS: The Patriot League Champion will receive the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals. The individual medalist will also receive a bid to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals if they are not on the championship team. NCAA Regionals will be held from May 9-11 at six regional sites around the country. The 2022 NCAA DI Women’s Golf Selection Show will be on GOLF Channel on April 27 at 5 p.m. ET.
