BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lafayette sophomore Liam Brandt and Lehigh junior Reese Hannon were named Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week, respectively, when the League office announced honors Wednesday.
 
Patriot League Men’s Golfer of the Week
Liam Brandt, Lafayette, So., Chester, N.J./Mendham
*Brandt won the individual title at the Fripp Invitational by shooting a 5-under par 208 (69-68-71) at the par-71 Ocean Creek Course in Saint Helena Island, S.C.
*The sophomore recorded eight birdies and an eagle through 54 holes to win by three strokes, helping the Leopards finish third out of 11 teams.
 
Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Week
Reese Hannon, Lehigh, Jr., Tewksbury, N.J./Mount Saint Mary
*Hannon earned the individual medal by shooting a 7-over par 151 (77-74) at the Lehigh Invitational at the par-72 Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
*The junior birdied the final hole to seal her individual title and the Mountain Hawks’ team title, helping edge Fairfield by one stroke. 

Honorable Mentions
Drew Golden, Lehigh, So., Hingham, Mass./Hingham
*Golden shot a 1-under par 143 (74-69) to earn individual medalist honors at the Lehigh Invitational at the par-72 Saucon Valley Country Club. The sophomore birdied his final hole to win individual honors, while helping the Mountain Hawks earn the team title out of 14 teams, including League rivals Army West Point and Colgate.  
 
Jack Geyer, Loyola Maryland, So., Havre de Grace, Md./C. Milton Wright
Diego Neira, Loyola Maryland, Jr., Caracas, Vz./South Florida
*Geyer and Neira tied for seventh out of 63 competitors at the Monterrey Collegiate Classic, shooting even-par 216 at the par-72 Club Campestre Monterrey in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico. The duo helped the Greyhounds to a second-place team finish.
