BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate junior Alex Hill and Bucknell sophomore Joelle Johnson were named Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week, respectively, when the League office announced honors on Wednesday.
 
Patriot League Men’s Golfer of the Week
Alex Hill, Colgate, Jr., Victor, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit
*Hill finished second among 108 golfers at the 36-hole Bucknell Invitational, carding a 7-under par 133 (66-67) at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
*The junior helped the Raiders to a second-place team finish out of 18 teams that included Patriot League rival and host Bucknell.
 
Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Week
Joelle Johnson, Bucknell, So., Bowie, Md./Indian Creek School
*Johnson finished fourth at the Quinnipiac Classic, shooting a 6-over par 222 (71-75-76) at The Farms Country Club, a par-72 course in Wallingford, Conn.
*The sophomore led the Bison to a second-place team finish out of 10 squads, marking Bucknell’s third straight top-two finish.

Honorable Mentions
Charlie Barrickman, Bucknell, Fr., West Chester, Pa./Unionville
*Barrickman shot an even-par 140 (66-74) to tie for 18th place at the 36-hole Bucknell Invitational at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa. His first-round score of 4-under par 66 is tied for the fourth-lowest round in program history.
 
John Scully, Holy Cross, So., Winchester, Mass./Winchester
*Scully tied for third at The Metropolis Intercollegiate by carding a 5-over par 215 (72-71-72) at the par-70 Metropolis Country Club in White Plains, N.Y.
*He was awarded the third-place trophy by winning a scorecard tiebreaker over Lafayette’s Liam Brandt. The sophomore helped the Crusaders to a second-place team finish.

Liam Brandt, Lafayette, So., Chester, N.J./Mendham
*Brandt tied Holy Cross’ John Scully for third place at The Metropolis Intercollegiate, shooting a 5-over par (215 (71-68-76) at the par-70 Metropolis Country Club in White Plains, N.Y. He lost a scorecard tiebreaker to Scully for the third-place trophy.

Bridget Yu, Lehigh, So., Richmond Hill, Ontario/Lauremont School
*Yu fired a 10-over par 220 (76-71-73) to tie for 39th among 80 golfers at the Evie Odom Invitational at the par-70 Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va.
