BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh Varsity Eight boat was named the Patriot League Boat of the Week when the League announced the awards on Wednesday.

The Boston University Varsity Eight, Bucknell Varsity Four, Colgate Second Varsity Eight and MIT Varsity Eight boats earned honorable mentions.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE BOAT OF THE WEEK
Lehigh Varsity Eight
* Lehigh’s Varsity Eight boat won a pair of 2,000-meter races against Colgate and Marist on the Erie Canal in Rome, N.Y.
* The Mountain Hawks defeated the Raiders by 12 seconds with a time of 6:50.0. They then beat Marist in the grand final by 10 seconds (6:55.4 to 7:05.0).
* The boat members included Tori Dorn, Gabrielle Eliseo, Julia Damron, Cameron Laukaitis, Honora Campbell, Sophia Foster, Catherine Hilow, Bella Papov, and coxswain Julia McDougall.

 HONORABLE MENTION
Boston University Varsity Eight
* The Terriers’ V8 boat defeated both Northeastern (7:32.7) and Rhode Island (7:55.2) with a time of 7:26.6.
 
Bucknell Varsity Four
* Bucknell’s V4 boat went 2-0 in a home double-dual against Eastern Michigan and Connecticut on the Susquehanna River. The Bison finished in the 7:47 range in both races and was the only one of the crews to break eight minutes.
 
Colgate Second Varsity Eight
* With a time of 7:13.11, the Raiders’ Second Varsity Eight boat defeated Lehigh by three seconds this past weekend on the Erie Canal.
 
MIT Varsity Eight Boat
* The MIT Varsity Eight crew defeated Boston College and Sacred Heart on Saturday morning on the Charles River, as they finished in a time of 7:42.8 to defeat the Eagles by nearly 11 seconds.
