BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 3 Navy and No. 4 Boston University tallied wins in the 2024 Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals on Tuesday night to advance to the semifinal round on Friday, May 3.
Navy defeated No. 6 Loyola Maryland, 12-10, as four Midshipmen scored two goals apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper Dan Daly made a career-high 18 saves and freshman faceoff specialist Zach Hayashi went 18-for-26 from the stripe.
Junior attack Brenden Kelly netted the game-winning goal in triple overtime to give BU the 18-17 win over No. 5 Colgate. Kelly finished the game with four goals. Louis Perfetto scored four goals and dished five assists for a season-high tying nine points, to go along with seven ground balls. The game was the League's second-ever triple-overtime contest in the postseason.
No. 1 Army West Point will play the Terriers on Friday, May 3 at 4 p.m. at Michie Stadium, while No. 2 Lehigh will play the Midshipmen at 7 p.m. The semifinals and championship game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, May 5 at noon. Dave Ryan and Evan Washburn will be on the call for all three games.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Four Navy players scored a pair of goals in a balanced offensive effort as the Midshipmen earned a 12-10 win over No. 6 Loyola Maryland in the quarterfinals.
* The four student-athletes who tallied two goals each were senior midfielder Dane Swanson, senior attack Tommy Hovivian, senior midfielder Max Hewitt and junior attack Carter Ash.
* Hovivian added two assists for a four-point performance.
* Navy freshman faceoff specialist Zach Hayashi went 18-for-26 from the stripe, to go with a game-high 11 ground balls.
* Sophomore goalkeeper Dan Daly made a career-high 18 saves to go with a .642 save percentage.
* Loyola graduate student midfielder Adam Poitras recorded his 10th hat trick of the season (eighth straight) as he scored three goals in two minutes in the first quarter. His goals were the first three of the game for the Greyhounds.
* Graduate student attack Evan James scored three goals for his seventh consecutive hat trick.
* Graduate student midfielder Heuston added two goals and one assist and sophomore attack Matthew Minicus scored one goal.
* Junior defender Joe Houlihan led the Greyhounds with six ground balls followed by Poitras (5).
* Loyola senior goalkeeper Luke Staudt finished the game with 15 saves and a .556 save percentage.

* Vince D'Alto chipped in three goals and Miles Lipton netted two.

* Raiders sophomore midfielder Hunter Drouin and junior attack Jake Turner led the team with four goals. Drouin added three assists for seven points.
* Junior attack Rory Connor had a hand in eight goals for Colgate with a season-high seven assists and one goal.
* Colgate junior defender Aidan Murnane ended the game with six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
* Goalkeeper of the year, Colgate junior Matt LaCombe made 12 saves to finish the season with 196 total saves and an 11.80 goals-against average.
