BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh and Bucknell each earned two of the five Patriot League Men’s Soccer weekly honors presented by PenFed Credit Union when the League office announced its awards on Monday, while Army West Point collected one.
Lehigh junior forward Thomas Robertson was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after recording four points to help the Mountain Hawks earn a postseason berth.
Lehigh junior midfielder Trey Sheeler earned Patriot League Men’s Soccer Midfielder of the Week recognition after scoring the game-winner against Boston University, leading the Mountain Hawks to a League victory that clinched a postseason berth.
Bucknell sophomore defender Collin Sullivan received Patriot League Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors, scoring his first career goal while leading the Bison defense to two shutouts.
Bucknell senior goalkeeper Freddie Lapworth collected Patriot League Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week after helping the Bison post back-to-back shutouts and collecting 10 saves.
Army West Point freshman forward Jack De Simone was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week after scoring the match-winning goal in the Black Knights’ road win at Lafayette.
Loyola Maryland sophomore forward Tyler Flynn and graduate midfielder Richie Nichols, Army West Point junior midfielder Justin Davidyock, freshman defender Nicholas Berardi, and sophomore goalkeeper Michael Guiry, along with Navy freshman midfielder Nick Gallucci, all received honorable mentions.
The Patriot League men’s soccer players of the week are chosen in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.

*De Simone scored the game-winning goal in the 56th minute of Army West Point’s 2-0 road victory at Lafayette, marking his third goal of the season.
*The freshman logged a career-high 82 minutes and now ranks second on the team in goals, with scores in back-to-back matches.
