BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate first-year Ronav Benak and Lehigh senior Jake Roth received Patriot League Co-Men’s Golfer of the Week and Bucknell senior Paige Richter received Credit Union 1 Women’s Golfer of the Week when the League office announced honors on Wednesday.
Benak and Roth share Patriot League Men’s Golfer of the Week honors after tying for sixth-place by shooting 3-under par 141 at the Matthews Auto Collegiate at the par-72 The Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, N.Y.
Richter captured Patriot League Credit Union 1 Women’s Golfer of the Week after finishing third at the Navy Fall Invitational by carding a 2-over par 146 (73-73) at the par-72 U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.
Boston University junior Amy Han, Holy Cross senior Caleigh Noonan, Loyola Maryland freshman Jack Geyer and Navy freshman Angelina Kim received honorable mentions for their play last week.
Patriot League Co-Men’s Golfers of the Week
Ronav Benak, Colgate, Fy., Tampa, Fla./Berkeley Prep
*Benak shot a 3-under par 141 (73-68) to tie for sixth out of 79 golfers at the Matthews Auto Collegiate.
*The first-year fired a career-best 4-under par 68 in the final round to help the Raiders to a sixth-place team finish out of 13 teams.
Jake Roth, Lehigh, Sr., Rockville, Md./Bullis School
*Roth tied for sixth place out of 79 golfers by carding a 3-under par 141 (69-72) at the Matthews Auto Collegiate.
*He totaled nine birdies, including six in the first round, to help the Mountain Hawks to a fourth-place team finish out of 13 squads.
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Women’s Golfer of the Week
Paige Richter, Bucknell, Sr., Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill
*Richter finished third at the Navy Fall Invitational by shooting a 2-over par 146 (73-73).
*She recorded three birdies on the back nine of her final round to get back to one-over par.
*The senior helped Bucknell to a second-place team finish, in a field that included Patriot League rivals Navy (4th) and Holy Cross (6th).

*Han tied for 14th out of 79 competitors at the Princeton Invitational by shooting an 8-over par 221 (77-72-72) at the par-71 Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J.
Caleigh Noonan, Holy Cross, Sr., Greenville, S.C./St. Joseph’s Catholic
*Noonan led the Crusaders by shooting an 11-over par 155 (78-77) to finish tied for 16th out of 81 golfers at the Navy Fall Invitational.
Jack Geyer, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Havre de Grace, Md./C. Milton Wright
*Geyer tied for 27th place by shooting a 5-over par 221 (74-70-77) at the Hamptons Intercollegiate at the par-72 Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y. The freshman shot a career-low 2-under par 70 in the second round.

*Kim tied for eighth place out of 81 golfers at the Navy Fall Invitational by shooting an 8-over par 152 (77-75).
