BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Army West Point earned three of the five Patriot League Men’s Soccer weekly honors presented by PenFed Credit Union when the League office announced its awards on Monday, while Lafayette and American each collected one.
 
Lafayette junior midfielder Samir Dishnica was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after recording one goal and one assist to lead the Leopards to a 2–0 victory over Boston University.
American senior midfielder Toshi Davis earned Patriot League Men’s Soccer Midfielder of the Week recognition after scoring the game-winning goal in the Eagles’ 2–1 win over Holy Cross, securing a first-round bye and keeping American in contention for the top seed.
Army West Point senior defender Eric Lusskin received Patriot League Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors after scoring the first goal of his collegiate career and adding an assist in the Black Knights’ 2–0 win, finishing with a career-high three points.
Army West Point sophomore goalkeeper Michael Guiry collected Patriot League Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week after posting his sixth shutout of the season with three saves to help the Black Knights    clinch a postseason berth.
Army West Point freshman forward Jack De Simone was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week after scoring his fourth goal of the season, extending his scoring streak to three matches and helping the Black Knights clinch a postseason berth.
American senior midfielder Troy Elgersma, Lehigh senior midfielder Noah Levy, Lehigh senior defender Matthew Aitchison, Lafayette senior goalkeeper Eric Axtman, Lehigh sophomore goalkeeper Anton Kinnunen, and Holy Cross freshman forward Liam Heneghan all received honorable mentions.
 
The Patriot League men’s soccer players of the week are chosen in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.

*The senior pounced on a rebound and finished to the top right corner, securing a first-round bye and keeping the Eagles in the race for the No. 1 seed.
Patriot League Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Eric Lusskin, Army West Point, Sr., D, Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central
*Lusskin tallied the first goal of his collegiate career and added an assist in Army West Point’s 2–0 win.
*The senior converted a free kick in the 35th minute and later assisted on Jack De Simone’s goal for a career-best three-point performance.
Patriot League Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Michael Guiry, Army West Point, So., GK, Jacksonville, Fla./Fletcher
*Guiry posted his sixth shutout of the season with three saves in a 2–0 victory.
*The sophomore improved to 48 saves on the year while raising his save percentage to .814 and lowering his GAA to 0.92.
Patriot League Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week
Jack De Simone, Army West Point, Fr., F, Sedalia, Colo./Regis Jesuit
*De Simone scored his fourth goal of the season and added two shots on goal in Army’s postseason-clinching win.
*The freshman has scored in three straight matches and ranks second on the team in both goals (4) and points (8).

Troy Elgersma, American, Sr., M, Redlands, Calif./Redlands
Elgersma scored on a first-half penalty and added two shots on goal while helping create the game-winning sequence in American’s 2–1 win over Holy Cross. The senior captain also forced the key turnover that led to Toshi Davis’s deciding goal.
Noah Levy, Lehigh, Sr., M, Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood
Levy anchored Lehigh’s midfield in a 0–0 draw at Colgate, helping the Mountain Hawks clinch a top-two seed for the first time since 2019.
Matthew Aitchison, Lehigh, Sr., D, Bethlehem, Pa./St. Stephen’s Episcopal School
Aitchison led Lehigh’s back line in the 0–0 draw at Colgate, blocking four shots and helping the Mountain Hawks withstand a 10–0 second-half shot deficit. His defensive effort contributed to securing a top-two seed.
Eric Axtman, Lafayette, Sr., GK, Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin
Axtman posted his seventh shutout of the season in Lafayette’s 2–0 win over Boston University, making a key second-half save and handling multiple crosses. He now leads the League in goals-against average (0.875).
Anton Kinnunen, Lehigh, So., GK, Kemi, England/Scholar Athlete Leadership Academy
Kinnunen made four saves to earn a clean sheet at Colgate, his second straight and third of the season. The result helped Lehigh secure a top-two seed for the first time since 2019.
Liam Heneghan, Holy Cross, Fr., F, Southborough, Mass./Worcester Academy
Heneghan scored Holy Cross’s lone goal in the 61st minute against American, tying the match at 1–1. The freshman now has two goals on the season.
