Top-Four Seeds Advance to 2025 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship Semifinal Round

No. 1 Army West Point, No. 2 Boston University, No. 3 Navy and No. 4 Lehigh Move On to Semifinals

HAMILTON, N.Y. — The top four seeds advanced to the semifinal round of the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship presented by Credit Union 1, following quarterfinal victories on Friday at Colgate’s J.W. Abrahamson Tennis Courts.

No. 1 Army West Point 4, No. 8 Lafayette 0
Top-seeded Army West Point opened its championship run with a dominant 4-0 win over Lafayette. The Black Knights secured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3, then swept through singles play with straight-set wins from Emma Sy, Ylan Duong and Vennmukiil Mathivanan.

No. 2 Boston University 4, No. 7 Colgate 0
Boston University rolled past host Colgate, 4-0, to earn its place in the semifinals. The Terriers took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 and added three decisive singles victories. Madison Liu earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles, while Rhea Rai sealed the match at No. 6.

No. 3 Navy 4, No. 6 Loyola Maryland 0
Navy advanced to the semifinals with a 4-0 sweep of Loyola Maryland. The Mids earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 and did not drop a set in singles. Emily Tannenbaum powered Navy with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 1 spot, followed by wins at No. 5 and No. 6.

No. 4 Lehigh 4, No. 5 Bucknell 3
Lehigh survived a back-and-forth battle with Bucknell, clinching the final semifinal spot with a 4-3 win. After losing the doubles point, the Mountain Hawks responded with four singles wins. Maggie Forkner delivered the match-clinching point at No. 1 singles, rallying for a 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 decision over Whitney King.
