Georgetown’s Matthew Plunkett Named the 2025 No. 35 Joe Eacobacci Memorial Jersey Recipient
Senior defensive lineman Matthew Plunkett was selected as the 2025 No. 35 Joe Eacobacci Memorial Jersey recipient. Plunkett is the 21st recipient of the memorial jersey, awarded to the student-athlete who best embodies Eacobacci’s combination of on-field performance, skills and intangibles. Eacobacci, a 1996 graduate and team captain, was lost on September 11, 2001, while working in the World Trade Center.
