BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Eight of the Patriot League’s 10 women’s lacrosse teams open the 2026 season on Friday, including six on the ESPN family of networks and one on BTN+.
Boston University hosts New Hampshire and Colgate travels to St. Bonaventure to open Friday’s action at Noon. Holy Cross travels to in-state rival UMass for a 1 p.m. opening draw, while American hosts crosstown rival Georgetown at 1 p.m.
Lehigh welcomes Saint Joseph’s at 3 p.m. before No. 16 Navy, the defending Patriot League champions, travels to Charlottesville, Va., to play No. 8 Virginia at 4 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
Two League teams will conclude the day’s games with 6 p.m. opening draws. No. 19 Army West Point faces Rutgers on BTN+, and Bucknell travels to Youngstown State.
No. 18 Loyola Maryland’s game against No. 4 Florida has been postponed and will now be played on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Reigning Patriot League Champion Navy Picked First in 2026 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Poll
Head coach Cindy Timchal and the Mids received 80 points and eight first-place votes to rank atop the preseason poll after winning the program’s seventh League crown last season. . Loyola Maryland, the 2025 regular-season champions, received 71 points and one first-place vote. They enter the 2026 season on a 93-game regular-season League-winning streak.
Army West Point placed third in the preseason poll with 68 points and one first-place vote. Holy Cross (51), Colgate (48) and Boston University (41) ranked fourth through sixth, with Lehigh (35), Bucknell (23), American (15) and Lafayette (13) rounding out the 10-team preseason poll.
Army West Point Collects Three Patriot League Preseason Major Awards; Navy Claims One
Army West Point placed four student-athletes on the 18-member Preseason All-Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Team, including three of the four major awards. Senior Allison Reilly was named Patriot League Preseason Attacker of the Year, senior Brigid Duffy earned Patriot League Preseason Midfielder of the Year and senior Lindsey Serafine claimed Patriot League Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. Navy placed a League-high five student-athletes on the squad, including junior Jaclyn Johns, who was voted the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Reigning Patriot League Champion Navy will open the season ranked No. 16 after the release of the
Inside Lacrosse KANE Women’s DI Media Poll. Loyola Maryland, the 2025 regular-season champions, was ranked No. 18, with Army West Point one spot behind at No. 19 in the preseason poll. All three teams made the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship last season.
Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches Poll
The Mids were also ranked No. 16 in the IWLCA Preseason Top 25 Poll when it was announced in January. Loyola Maryland checked in at No. 18, with Army West Point placing 21st.
Duffy Recognized as USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Year
Army West Point’s Duffy was selected as the Preseason Midfielder of the Year after breaking the Black Knights’ single-season records for goals (64), ground balls (47) and caused turnovers (32). The three-time All-American is among the Patriot League’s career leaders in points (262), goals (182) and draw controls (283).

Inside Lacrosse. Three-time All-America honoree Brigid Duffy (Army, Sr., M) earned a spot on the Media All-America Second Team, along with reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year Alyssa Chung (Navy, So., A). Allison Reilly (Army, Sr. A) earned third-team honors.
Four Receive USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-America Honors

USA Lacrosse Magazine when it was announced. Army West Point’s Allison Reilly and Navy’s Mikayla Williams (Jr., M). Navy’s Alyssa Chung earned Honorable Mention All-America recognition.
Army’s Duffy Named to US Lacrosse Women’s National Field Team

Army West Point Women's Lacrosse senior Brigid Duffy has been named to the U.S. Women's National Team as announced by USA Lacrosse on Thursday, Jan. 15. Duffy is the first Black Knight to make the National Field Team.
The Queensbury, N.Y., native will represent the United States of America this upcoming summer at the 2026 U.S. Women's World Lacrosse Championships, which are set to be held from July 24- August 2 in Tokyo, Japan. Duffy will be one of nine current collegiate players on the roster and the only player from the Patriot League. This will mark her second national tournament after she has already represented Team USA on the national stage in 2024 on the U.S. U20 team alongside fellow senior Allison Reilly and was coached by Noto Family Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Michelle Tumolo.

Patriot Women’s Lacrosse on CBS Sports Network
Four Patriot League women’s lacrosse games will be featured on CBS Sports Network in 2026. Navy opens the nationally televised slate of games when it hosts Florida on Saturday, Feb. 28, with live coverage beginning at 9:30 a.m. The regular-season rematch of the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship Game featuring Navy at Loyola Maryland is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, with live coverage beginning at 11 a.m. The Mids will host rival Army West Point on Saturday, April 11, at Noon. The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship Game will be aired on Saturday, May 2, with live coverage beginning at 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
