Patriot League Softball Players of the Week Announced (3.2.26)

Lafayette, Boston University and Colgate each earned a Patriot League softball weekly award

 BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lafayette, Boston University and Colgate each claimed a Patriot League softball weekly award when the League office announced the honors on Monday.

Lafayette sophomore infielder Caroline Hall was named Patriot League Player of the Week after batting .563 with a 1.611 OPS to lead the Leopards to a 3–2 weekend.

Boston University senior pitcher Haley Ganini earned Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honors after going 1–0 with her first career save and a 1.35 ERA across 10.1 innings, helping the Terriers defeat three Power 4 programs.

Colgate first-year infielder Marina Taveras was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Week after hitting .474 (9-for-19) with two doubles, two home runs, four RBIs and six runs scored over five games.

Colgate junior outfielder Nora Megenity, Boston University junior catcher Livia Christopher, Lehigh first-year pitcher Addison Moorman and first-year outfielder Megan Lodge, and Boston University freshman outfielder Irys Kline earned honorable mention recognition.
The Patriot League softball players of the week are selected in a vote by each school’s head softball coach, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Softball Player of the Week
Caroline Hall, Lafayette, So., INF, Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull

*Hall batted .563 with a 1.611 OPS, helping Lafayette to a 3–2 weekend.
*The sophomore game-winning two-run home run against New Haven and recorded a season-high four hits in a walk-off win over North Dakota State.
*Hall added her second home run of the tournament in an 8–6 victory over North Dakota State and is hitting .364 on the season.

Patriot League Softball Pitcher­­ of the Week
Haley Ganini, Boston University, Sr., P, Azusa, Calif./Glendora
*Ganini went 1–0 with her first career save and a 1.35 ERA across 10.1 innings, helping BU defeat three Power 4 programs.
*She tossed 4.1 scoreless innings in a 10-inning win at No. 20 Duke and retired all four batters faced to earn the save against Northwestern.
*Ganini also limited Ohio State to one run over 2.1 innings of relief in a 10–5 victory.

Patriot League Softball Rookie­­ of the Week
Marina Taveras, Colgate, Fy., INF, Fort Worth, Tex./Aledo

*Taveras hit .474 (9-for-19) with two doubles, two home runs, four RBIs and six runs scored over five games.
*She recorded a hit in all five contests, including a home run with three RBIs in a 16–9 win over UIC.
*Taveras helped power Colgate to 11 home runs on the weekend as the Raiders went 2–3 in Florida.

Honorable Mentions 
Nora Megenity, Colgate, Jr., OF, Atlanta, Ga./Milton

Megenity batted .421 (8-for-19) with three home runs, seven runs scored and four RBIs, leading off two games with a homer. She helped power Colgate to 11 home runs on the weekend, including a 16–9 win over UIC.

Livia Christopher, Boston University, Jr., C, Prospect Heights, Ill./John Hershey
Christopher hit .400 with four RBIs in four starts, delivering a two-RBI double against Northwestern and a two-RBI single in a win over Ohio State as BU defeated three Power 4 programs.

Addison Moorman, Lehigh, Fy., P, Granada Hills, Calif./Granada Hills
Moorman went 2–0 with a 1.70 ERA at the Wolfpack Classic, allowing one run over 11 innings in her two wins. She threw a complete game against Loyola Chicago and added four innings of scoreless relief in a 10-inning victory over Toledo.

Megan Lodge, Lehigh, Fy., OF, Granville, Ohio/Granville
Lodge batted .353 with four home runs and six RBIs, hitting a walk-off homer against Loyola Chicago and two home runs in a 10-inning win over Toledo. She accounted for four of Lehigh’s seven home runs at the Wolfpack Classic.

Irys Kline, Boston University, Fr., OF, Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro Area
Kline recorded a hit and a run scored in all four games at the Duke Invitational, driving in a run in each of BU’s three wins. She delivered an RBI double in a 10-inning victory over No. 20 Duke and added key RBIs against Northwestern and Ohio State.
