BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Boston University claimed all three Patriot League softball weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Monday.
Boston University junior outfielder Kylie Doherty was named Patriot League Player of the Week for the second time this season, after batting .563 with 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored while posting a .667 on-base percentage to help the Terriers go 6–0.
Boston University senior pitcher Kasey Ricard earned Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this season, after going 4–0 with a 0.00 ERA, striking out 25 while allowing just 10 hits and three walks in 24.0 innings pitched.
Boston University freshman outfielder Irys Kline was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, after batting .500 with five RBIs, four runs scored and a .684 on-base percentage during the Terriers’ 6–0 week.
Lehigh sophomore infielder Kelly Fricker, Army West Point senior designated player Caitlyn Newburn, Colgate senior pitcher Alexa Acker, Lehigh first-year pitcher Addison Moorman and Colgate first-year infielder Marina Taveras earned honorable mention recognition.
The Patriot League softball players of the week are selected in a vote by each school’s head softball coach, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*Doherty batted .563 with 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored while posting a .667 on-base percentage to help BU go 6–0.
*She went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a two-run single in a 17–0 win over Brown.
*Doherty added five RBIs in two wins over UMass Lowell, including a home run to left field.
Patriot League Softball Pitcher of the Week

*Ricard went 4–0 with a 0.00 ERA, recording 25 strikeouts while allowing just 10 hits and three walks.
*She tossed solo shutouts against Quinnipiac, UMass Lowell and Brown, while also contributing to a combined shutout against the Bears.
*Ricard set a Boston University program record with 86 career wins and surpassed 800 career strikeouts during the week.
Patriot League Softball Rookie of the Week
Irys Kline, Boston University, Fr., OF, Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro Area
*Kline batted .500 with five RBIs, four runs scored and a .684 on-base percentage during Boston University’s 6–0 week.
*She recorded a triple, six walks and multiple RBIs against Quinnipiac and UMass Lowell.
*Kline struck out just once in 19 plate appearances across the six games.
Honorable Mentions
Kelly Fricker, Lehigh, So., INF, West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin
Fricker hit safely in all seven games, batting .542 (13-for-24) with five extra-base hits and six runs scored while posting a 1.431 OPS. She had multiple hits in five games, including a 3-for-3 effort with two doubles and a home run against Tarleton State.
Caitlyn Newburn, Army West Point, Sr., DP, Napa, Calif./Napa
Newburn batted .467 with a 1.200 slugging percentage, totaling seven hits, seven RBIs and four runs while adding three home runs and a triple. She homered in back-to-back games and capped the week with three RBIs in a win over Harvard.
Alexa Acker, Colgate, Sr., P, Sparta, N.J./Sparta
Acker tossed 5.0 shutout innings in a win over Niagara, striking out a season-high seven while allowing just three hits. She held Niagara to a .167 batting average to earn her fourth win of the season.
Addison Moorman, Lehigh, Fy., P, Granada Hills, Calif./Granada Hills Charter
Moorman earned both of Lehigh’s wins in the circle, highlighted by a two-hitter in a five-inning victory over Tarleton State. She posted a 3.27 ERA across 15 innings of work.
Marina Taveras, Colgate, Fy., INF, Fort Worth, Tex./Aledo
Taveras hit .429 with a .500 on-base percentage and .857 slugging percentage in a doubleheader sweep of Niagara. She totaled five RBIs and three runs scored, including a go-ahead two-run homer in the series finale.
