Patriot League Announces Seeding for 2026 Women’s Tennis Championship (4.14.26)

Defending champions Boston University earns top seed; Lafayette and Holy Cross to play in first round on Thursday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Boston University women’s tennis team earned the No. 1 seed in the 2026 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship, as the League office announced the official schedule and seedings on Tuesday.

The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Championship will be held at Bucknell’s Varsity Tennis Courts in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, beginning Thursday, April 16 and concluding Sunday, April 19. In the event of inclement weather, matches will be moved indoors to the Central PA Tennis Center in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The tournament begins Thursday afternoon with a first-round matchup between No. 8 Lafayette and No. 9 Holy Cross at 3 p.m.

Quarterfinal action starts Friday, with matches beginning at 9 a.m. Top-seeded and defending champion Boston University will face the winner of No. 8 Lafayette and No. 9 Holy Cross. No. 4 Lehigh will take on No. 5 Loyola Maryland at 10:40 a.m., No. 3 Army West Point will face No. 6 Bucknell at 1:15 p.m., and No. 2 Navy will meet No. 7 Colgate at 3:45 p.m.

Semifinal matches are set for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, with the championship match scheduled for noon on Sunday, April 19.
