BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lehigh fifth-year Sean Jaeger and Bucknell senior Abby Platt earned Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honors, respectively, when the League office announced its awards on Tuesday.
Jaeger captured Patriot League Men’s Tennis Player of the Week recognition after going 3–0 across singles and doubles, helping Lehigh open League play 2–0.
Platt was named Patriot League Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after winning both No. 1 singles and doubles matches against Lehigh.
Boston University junior Blanka DeMicheli, Colgate sophomore Rebecca Hess and senior Aidan Lee, Lehigh sophomore Alina Shayni, Army West Point sophomore Davis McDonald and Holy Cross junior Teddy Callery earned honorable mention recognition.
Patriot League Men’s Player of the Week
Sean Jaeger, Lehigh, Gr., Allentown, Pa./Emmaus
*Jaeger went 3–0 across singles and doubles, helping Lehigh open Patriot League play 2–0.
*He earned a straight-set win over Navy’s Aniketh Ayinala at No. 2 singles.
*Jaeger added two No. 1 doubles victories alongside Alex Van Lumich, including Lehigh’s first win over Navy since 2013.
Patriot League Women’s Player of the Week
Abby Platt, Bucknell, Sr., Dallas, Tex./Greenhill School
*Platt won both No. 1 singles and doubles matches against Lehigh.
*She earned a straight-set singles victory over Maggie Forkner and a dominant 6–0 doubles win.
*Platt secured both points for Bucknell in the dual match.

Blanka DeMicheli, Boston University, Jr., Boca Raton, Fla./Palm Beach Virtual
DeMicheli went 2–0 against Navy, clinching both the doubles point with a tiebreak win and the match with a three-set singles victory. She also added another doubles win against Holy Cross as BU remained undefeated in League play.
Rebecca Hess, Colgate, So., Cedar Grove, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy
Hess went 2–0 in doubles alongside Avery Isaac and earned a 6-4, 6-1 singles victory against Lafayette. She also pushed her opponent to a match tiebreak in a hard-fought three-set battle against Lehigh.
Alina Shayni, Lehigh, So., Palatine, Ill./Fremd
Shayni posted a perfect 4–0 record, earning two straight-set singles wins and two doubles victories to help Lehigh to a 2–0 weekend. She secured wins against Bucknell and Colgate at the No. 4 singles spot.
Aidan Lee, Colgate, Sr., Daufuskie Island, S.C./Smith Stearns Tennis Academy
Lee won both singles and doubles in a 4–1 win over Lafayette, including a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles. He also added a doubles win against Lehigh.
Davis McDonald, Army West Point, So., Westport, Conn./Green Farms Academy
McDonald clinched Army West Point’s 4–3 win over Bucknell with a three-set victory at No. 6 singles. His match provided the deciding point in the tight contest.
Teddy Callery, Holy Cross, Jr., Darien, Conn./Darien
Callery earned a doubles win in Holy Cross’ victory over Assumption and became the program’s single-season leader in doubles wins with 13.
