BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second time this season, Bucknell’s First Varsity Eight+ garnered Patriot League Boat of the Week honors, when the League office announced the award on Tuesday.

Bucknell First Varsity 8+
Regatta: Cornell Double Duals – Cayuga Inlet, Ithaca, N.Y. / 2,000 meters
*Bucknell’s First Varsity Eight+ continued its outstanding spring season with two victories on Saturday at the Cornell Double Duals on the Cayuga Inlet.
In the morning session, the Bison clocked a winning time of 6:32.60, edging Delaware by three seconds. Bucknell returned to the water a second faster (6:31.30) in the afternoon, defeating Rhode Island by a three-second margin.

*Colgate’s First Varsity 8+ captured its second straight title at the New York State Championships as the Raiders clocked a time of 7:07.800 in the grand final.
Loyola Maryland First Varsity 4+
Regatta: George Mason Invitational – Sandy Run Reservoir, Fairfax, Va. / 2,000 meters
*Loyola Maryland’s First Varsity 4+ won the grand final at the George Mason Invitational on Saturday as the Greyhounds clocked a time of 9:47.40, topping boats from Catholic and George Mason.
MIT First Varsity 8+
Regatta: MIT vs. Boston College, Holy Cross, Sacred Heart, UConn, UMass – Lake Quinsigamond, Worcester, Mass. / 2,000 meters
*The MIT women’s rowing team captured the MIT/BC Cup for the second consecutive season as the Engineers earned a runner-up performance in the First Varsity 8+, racing against Boston College, UMass, UConn, Sacred Heart and host Holy Cross on Saturday on Lake Quinsigamond.
Navy First Varsity 8+
Regatta: Navy vs. Georgetown – Severn River, Annapolis, Md. / 2,000 meters
*Navy’s First Varsity 8+ defeated Georgetown in a head-to-head race on Saturday at the Severn River as the Mids led wire-to-wire and cruised to a 15.02-second win over the Hoyas, 6:44.33 to 6:59.35.

PATRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Rowing Championship will be held on Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J., on Friday, May 15. Patriot League members Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Loyola Maryland, MIT and Navy will compete in the full-field championship, which features Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Second Varsity Four races. The winning team receives the Patriot League's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. Boston University is the defending Patriot League champion.
