Patriot League Announces Men’s and Women’s Golf Academic Honors (5.1.26)

Boston University’s Amy Han and Loyola Maryland’s Eli Spaulding claim Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University junior Amy Han and Loyola Maryland sophomore Eli Spaulding were named 2026 Patriot League Women’s and Men’s Golf Scholar-Athletes of the Year, respectively, when the League office announced academic honors on Friday.
 
Boston University’s Amy Han (film and television, 3.86 GPA) earned the League’s top academic honor for women’s golf and a spot on the six-member Academic All-Patriot League Team for the first time. She was a First Team All-Patriot League selection with a League-best adjusted scoring average (74.27) this season.
 
Loyola Maryland’s Eli Spaulding (finance, 3.91 GPA) also claimed a spot on the six-member Academic All-Patriot League Team for the first time. He received First Team All-Patriot League honors after finishing fifth at the Patriot League Championship, while recording a 72.2 adjusted scoring average during the 2025-26 season.
 
Boston University senior Annika Manjunath (computer science, 3.71 GPA) is the lone multi-year Academic All-League honoree on the women’s and men’s teams, earning the recognition for the third time.
 
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
 
Voting for Patriot League Women’s and Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League Team is conducted by the League’s golf athletics communications contacts.
 
2026 Patriot League Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Amy Han, Boston University, Jr., Dalian, China/King’s College (New Zealand)
*Han is a film and television major at Boston University carrying a 3.86 cumulative GPA.
*She posted the Patriot League’s best adjusted scoring average (74.27) and NCAA DI ranking (496).
*The junior finished tied for seventh at +15 during the Patriot League Championship, helping earn First Team All-Patriot League honors.
*She helped the Terriers receive Boston University’s Team GPA Award.
 
2026 Patriot League Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Eli Spaulding, Loyola Maryland, So., Freeport, Maine/Freeport
*Spaulding is a finance major with a 3.91 cumulative GPA and a three-time Dean’s List member at Loyola Maryland.
*The sophomore posted a fifth-place finish at the Patriot League Championship to help earn All-Tournament honors in addition to First Team All-Patriot League recognition.
*He finished the season with a 72.2 adjusted scoring average and ranked No. 564 in NCAA DI.
*Spaulding was a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection in 2025.

Ten Golf Student-Athletes Collect Academic Honors after Earning All-League Recognition
Five members of the 2026 Women’s Golf All-Patriot League First Team collected Academic All-League honors, including Boston University’s Han. Bucknell sophomore Sophia Bardunias (undecided, 3.71 GPA), Lehigh sophomore Reese Hannon (IBE management/materials science and engineering, 3.57 GPA) and Navy sophomore Vivian Cressman (operations research, 3.92 GPA) and junior Keira Howard (mathematics/economics, 3.65 GPA) also received academic recognition after earning All-League honors.
 
Five men’s golfers claimed Academic All-Patriot League honors after earning a spot on the All-Patriot League Team earlier this week, including first-teamers Spaulding, Loyola Maryland graduate student and teammate Jackson Roman (business marketing, 3.54 undergraduate GPA, MBA 3.67 graduate GPA) and Navy senior Jack Tarzy (quantitative economics, 3.21 GPA). Bucknell sophomore Jack Hartman (finance, 3.92 GPA) and Lafayette sophomore Travis Robertson (liberal arts, 3.20 GPA).
