BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University garnered three of the four Patriot League M-F Athletic Cross Country weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. Lehigh received the remaining honor.
Patriot League M-F Athletic Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Freddy Collins, Boston University, Gr., Stow, Mass./Nashboa Regional
*Collins delivered an 8K time of 23:20.8 in his season debut at the Princeton Meadows Challenge to finish sixth in a deep field that featured three nationally ranked teams and three other squads receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA Division I poll.
*It marked the second weekly award of Collins’ career as he guided the Terriers to an 11th-place team finish with 311 points.
Patriot League M-F Athletic Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
Adrienne Buettner-Cable, Boston University, Sr., Des Moines, Iowa/Theodore Roosevelt
* Buettner-Cable paced the Terriers with an impressive sixth-place finish in her season debut at the Princeton Meadows Challenge.
*The senior posted a 6K time of 19:55.3 in a field that featured five nationally ranked teams and five other squads receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA Division I poll.
*The Des Moines, Iowa native helped BU finish 10th with 241 points on her way to her first career weekly award.
Patriot League M-F Athletic Men’s Rookie of the Week
Jason Baker, Lehigh, Fy., Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen
*Baker helped Lehigh defeat Lafayette for the 27th straight time on Friday as the first-year was the first Mountain Hawk to cross the line, winning the 8K race with a time of 25:04.2.
*It marked Baker’s first collegiate win and his second Rookie of the Week award of the season (Sept. 8, 2026).
Patriot League M-F Athletic Women’s Rookie of the Week
Cali Buxbaum, Boston University, Fr., Wall Township, N.J./Wall Township
*Buxbaum finished 96th in a deep field at the Princeton Meadows Challenge with a 6K time of 21:40.1.
*The freshman is the second straight Terrier to win Rookie of the Week, joining freshman Jessica Abbott (Sept. 22, 2026).
Honorable mentions went to Boston University’s Ryan Collins and Lehigh’s Keira Arenholz, Kaitlyn Highduch and Will Mrozinski.
