CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Six Patriot League men’s golf student-athletes were selected to the Division I PING All-Northeast Team when it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Army West Point senior Justin Williamson, Bucknell junior Chris Tanabe, Colgate senior Ryan Skae, Lafayette sophomore Ryan Tall and Loyola Maryland juniors Brandon Berry and Evan Brown were named among the 25 student-athletes named to the All-Northeast Team. Overall, the GCAA recognized 156 men’s golfers across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West.

For the second time in his career,
Justin Williamson was named a GCAA Division I PING All-Northeast Region First Team honoree following his shortened senior season. Williamson was the final Patriot League Golfer of the Week before the season came to a halt. He shot a 2-over par 212 (70-71-71) to tie for 10th-place out of 75 competitors at the 54-hole Palmetto Invitational at the par-70 Palmetto Golf Club at the beginning of March. The senior helped the Black Knights to a fifth-place finish with a team score of 26-over par 866 in the 15-team field.

Bucknell’s Tanabe Named to Division I PING All-Northeast Team

Chris Tanabe was named to the
Division I PING All-Northeast Team by the GCAA. Tanabe was one of 25 college players named to the Northeast Region squad, and one of six from the Patriot League. Tanabe was in the midst of one of the best seasons in Bucknell men's golf history when the season was halted in March due to the coronavirus outbreak. His 72.1 fall scoring average was the second-lowest in school history for a single season and the lowest ever for a fall campaign. Tanabe finished in the top 10 in four of his six events, highlighted by his second career win in a college tournament at the Dartmouth Invitational.

Colgate’s Skae Named PING All-Northeast Team

Ryan Skae has been named a Division I Ping All-Northeast Region honoree, capping one of the best careers in Raider Golf history. Selected by the GCAA, Skae became Colgate's first All-Region honoree after finishing with program record-setting scoring averages of 73.85 and +2.58. He was an All-Patriot League First Team selection last year after tying for conference medalist honors (lost the NCAA bid in a five-hole playoff) at Seven Oaks Golf Club.

Lafayette’s Tall Named to PING Division I All-Northeast Team
Lafayette sophomore
Ryan Tall has been named to the PING Division I All-Northeast Region team, as announced by the GCAA. Tall led the Leopards in the fall campaign with a 72.7 stroke average through 14 competitive rounds. The Devon, Pa. native had three top-10 finishes, including a season-best runner-up effort in the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational in September. Tall was named the Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Week on September 11, 2019.

Loyola Maryland’s Berry and Brown Named to Division I PING All-Northeast Team

Brandon Berry and
Evan Brown were named to the 2019-2020 PING All-Northeast Region Team by the GCAA. The classmates had two of the best seasons in Loyola history, despite the shortened schedule. Brown set a school-record with a Patriot League-leading average score of 70.95. Meanwhile, Berry played in the same number of rounds, 19, and had the fifth-best stroke average in Loyola history, 72.58, a mark which was fourth-best amongst Patriot League players this year. Now a two-time All-Northeast Region honoree after garnering the recognition last season, Brown was the 94
th ranked player in NCAA Division I by GolfStat and fourth in the Northeast Region when the season was cut short. Berry put together one of the top seasons in school history, as well. He had two top-six finishes and four top-15 outcomes. His +1.16 average to par is also fifth-best at Loyola and was one of the best in the conference this year. He started the year with a 15
th-place at the VCU and then three weeks later turned in a sixth-place finish at the Hamptons Intercollegiate that Loyola hosted at the Maidstone Club.
