Patriot League Announces 2020 Women’s Rowing Academic Honor Roll Honorees (6.30.20)

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The nine Patriot League women’s rowing teams combined to place 358 student-athletes on the sport’s Academic Honor Roll, announced by the League office on Tuesday.

Boston University led the way with 74 student-athletes on the 2020 women’s rowing academic honor roll. Georgetown followed with 64 students while Bucknell listed 47. Holy Cross and Navy both had 36 honorees. Lehigh (31), Colgate (28), Loyola Maryland (26) and MIT (16) rounded out of the rest of the list.

Sixty-nine women’s rowing student-athletes achieved at least a 4.00 GPA this semester. Georgetown led the way with 17 student-athletes who achieved a 4.00 GPA and Navy listed 12 student-athletes. Boston University recorded 11 student-athletes. Holy Cross (7), Bucknell (6), Lehigh (6), MIT (5), Colgate (3) and Loyola Maryland (2). 

Twenty-one Patriot League women’s rowing student-athletes made the academic honor roll for the fourth time, including: Boston University seniors Riona McCormick, Caitriona Parker and Julia Vascotto, Bucknell seniors Natalie Minella and Grace Ott, Colgate seniors Molly Frauenheim and Taylor Wright, Georgetown’s Grace Calavan, Michelle Choi, Angela Glazer, Anna Kemmerer, Isabel Rose, Chloe Schalit, and Mara Sylvia. Holy Cross senior Maegan Moriarty, Lehigh senior Allison Connors, Loyola Maryland’s Maureen Frauenheim, MIT’s duo of Erica Flear and Aigneis Frey and Navy’s Sam Fox were named to the academic honor roll for the fourth time.

To be eligible for the Patriot LeagueWinter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
