BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Boston University women’s golf team will play in the Franklin Regional at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, in Franklin, Tenn. when NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals begin on Monday, May 9.
The Terriers captured their third Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship by shooting a team score of 64-over par 928 (313-301-314) under windy conditions at the U.S. Naval Golf Course during the 54-hole League championship from April 15-17. Sophomore Flair Kuan, the individual medalist and Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Year led the squad with a three-round score of 8-over par 224 (76-74-74). Freshman Christy Chen and senior Hanako Kawasaki joined Kuan as All-Patriot League honorees.
Boston University will be the No. 11 seed at the Franklin Regional Site, playing with No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Oregon State, No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 7 BYU, No. 8 Kent State (MAC champion), No. 9 UTSA, No. 10 Augusta (Southland champion) and No. 12 Austin Peay (Ohio Valley Conference champion). Six individuals will also join the field, including Mikayla Bardwell (Tennessee), Tara Bettle (UNCG), Dorota Zalewska (Chattanooga – SoCon champion), Hollie Muse (ETSU), Annie Kim (Houston), and Payton Carter (Murray State – OVC champion).
