Boston University Women's Golf Keeps Pace on Day Two of NCAA Franklin Regional

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The Boston University women's golf team kept pace with some of its higher-ranked opponents on day two of the NCAA Franklin Regional on Tuesday, recording a 302 (+14) in the second round at Vanderbilt Legends Club.

The Terriers will enter Wednesday's final round tied for ninth among the 12 teams with Brigham Young at plus-23. BU is just three strokes behind 27th-ranked Oregon State for eighth place.

Sophomore Flair Kuan recorded five birdies en route to a 1-over 73 to stay in the hunt for one of the individual spots for the NCAA Championships. She is currenty tied for ninth at 143 (-1).

Freshman Christy Chen was the Terriers' top golfer on Tuesday, firing a 1-under 70 to move up to a tie for 25th. She was one of 16 in the 66-player field to shoot under par in round two and had three birdies, two bogeys and 13 pars on the day.

Senior Hanako Kawasaki and freshman Victoria Takai each shot a 7-over 79 in round two while junior Alice Fan was right behind with a 78.

The Terriers will be matched up with golfers from Kent State and Austin Peay on Wednesday with Takai's group the first off the tee at 10:06 a.m. ET.
