BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After winning the Varsity Eight Grand Final at the 2022 Patriot League Women’s Rowing Championship, the Bucknell women’s rowing program placed seven student-athletes on the All-Patriot League teams announced by the League on Thursday.
The Bison led the six institutions represented on the first-and second-team squads, followed by Boston University with four selections. Georgetown, Lehigh and Navy each had two honorees, while MIT had one all-League selection.
The All-League teams are based on the Varsity Eight Grand Final team finish at the Patriot League Rowing Championship, which was held on Friday, May 13 on Cooper River in New Jersey.
Bucknell seniors Erin Sullivan, Natalie Kreusch and Kate Meerscheidt, and sophomore coxswain Juliette Gaggini were named to the first team. Juniors Elizabeth Berlinger, Caroline Brandt and Maddie Wicker represented the Bison on the second team.
Runner-up BU placed four members on the All-Patriot League teams collectively with sophomore Bianca Saffirio and senior Lexi Wright being named to the first team, while senior coxswain Mia Ball and junior Kat Robbins received second-team accolades.
Rounding out the All-Patriot League first team are Georgetown junior Graciella Leon, Lehigh senior Honora Campbell and Navy junior Millie Oldham.
Georgetown sophomore Laurel Aronson, Lehigh junior Cameron Laukaitis, MIT senior Allison King, and Navy sophomore Lauren Day complete the second team.
Terriers’ head coach Madeline Davis Tully collected her first Patriot League Women’s Rowing Coach of the Year honor after leading her squad to their second League title.
