Lehigh Wins 2023 Patriot League Men’s Golf Championship; Song Earns Individual Medal

Lehigh’s Daniel Song and Henry D’Alberto, and Navy’s Chip Deegan receive major awards

PHOENIX, Md. – Lehigh shot an 8-over par 296 in a weather-delayed final round to claim the 2023 Patriot League Men’s Golf title on Sunday, its first in 10 seasons, at the par-72 Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Md.

Following a delay of more than three-and-a-half hours, Lehigh and Colgate traded spots atop the team leaderboard through light rain and wind on a water-logged final day.

Song shot a 1-under par 71 in the third round to finish at 1-over par 217 (76-70-71), claiming individual medalist honors. Sophomore Aidan Oehrle shot an even-par final round to finish 6-over par 222 (76-74-72) to join Song on the All-Patriot League First Team.

The two-time Patriot League Men’s Golfer of the Week finished among the League leaders posting a 74.0 strokes per round average during the regular season.
