BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army received a pair of weekly awards, while Bucknell, Holy Cross and Navy each collected one honor when the League office unveiled the women’s soccer honors on Monday.
For the second time this season, Army West Point senior forward Kaelan Bradley was honored as the Patriot League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week following a two-goal performance in the Black Knights’ 4-1 win over American.
Bucknell senior Teresa Deda collected Patriot League Women’s Soccer Midfielder of the Week honors after scoring two second-half goals in a 3-0 victory over Colgate.
Navy freshman Lauren Toms was named the Patriot League Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after scoring the eventual game-winning goal in the Mids’ 3-0 win over Lehigh.
Holy Cross senior Julia Walsh garnered Patriot League Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week honors and Army West Point freshman midfielder Bella Conti earned Patriot League Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week recognition for the second time this year.
Army West Point senior defender Keira Vesy, Bucknell junior goalkeeper Jess Benattar, senior defender Katie Schiano and freshman forward Presley Sutter, Holy Cross sophomore forward Karenna Beckstein and senior defender Alyssa Pettet, Loyola Maryland senior forward Baylee DeSmit and Navy’s freshman goalkeeper Natasha Stramrood and freshman midfielder Ande Swan all received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League women’s soccer players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*Deda scored a pair of second-half goals to help Bucknell finish off a 3-0 win over Colgate on Saturday.
*Among Patriot League rankings, the senior is second in goals (6), second in points (15), and tied for second in assists (3).
*The New Rochelle, N.Y. native became the eighth player in Bucknell history to record 70 career points.
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Lauren Toms, Navy, Fr., Defender, Fairplay, Md./Williamsport
*In her first career Patriot League contest, Toms scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 10th minute of Navy’s 3-0 win over Lehigh.
*Playing for 76 minutes, the freshman and the Mids' defense held the Mountain Hawks off the scoreboard.
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Julia Walsh, Holy Cross, Sr., Goalkeeper, San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic
*Walsh made seven saves and recorded her fourth clean sheet of the year in Holy Cross’ 1-0 victory over Lafayette on Saturday.
*The San Diego, Calif., native has the most shutouts (4) in the Patriot League, while ranking second in goals-against average (.750) and save percentage (.838).
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

*Conti registered her third goal of the season in the seventh minute to give Army a 1-0 lead en route to the Black Knights’ 4-1 win over American on Friday.

*Sutter came on as a substitute late in the first half against Colgate and scored her first collegiate goal in the 43rd minute to spark Bucknell’s offense in a 3-0 win over the Raiders.

*Beckstein tallied the game-winner in Holy Cross’ 1-0 victory over Lafayette on Saturday, as the sophomore scored on a header in the 19th minute. The Tyngsborough, Mass. native finished the game on defense to help preserve the shutout.

*Pettet started in the League opener on Saturday and made multiple big stops on the backline to help Holy Cross earn a 1-0 victory over Lafayette.
Baylee DeSmit, Loyola Maryland, Sr., Forward, Towson, Md.
*DeSmit scored the game-tying goal off a free kick in the 65th minute to help Loyola Maryland draw 1-1 with Boston University on Saturday.
*The senior continues to lead the Patriot League in goals (7), points (16), and game-winning goals (4).
Natasha Stramrood, Navy, Fr., Goalkeeper, Cypress, Texas/Tomball Memorial
*Stramrood earned the first individual clean sheet of her career and made seven saves in Navy’s 3-0 victory over Lehigh on the road on Friday.
*The freshman ranks second in the Patriot League in saves (47), fifth in saves per game (3.92), seventh in save percentage (.770), and goals against average (1.460).
