BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Navy junior guard Zanai Barnett-Gay was named Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Navy freshman guard Zoe Mesuch earned Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the League office on Monday.
Barnett-Gay received Player of the Week recognition after averaging a double-double and powering Navy to a 2-0 week, highlighted by 25 points and 13 rebounds against Longwood and a 22-point performance in the Mids’ first SEC win since 1998.
Mesuch earned Rookie of the Week honors by averaging 15.0 points and hitting eight three-pointers across two games, including a 5-for-6 first-half to spark Navy’s upset victory over Florida.
Colgate junior forward Ella Meabon, Holy Cross senior guard Simone Foreman, Army West Point junior forward Kya Smith, Lafayette freshman guard Haylie Adamski, and Lehigh freshman forward Leia Edwards received honorable mentions.
The Patriot League women’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*The junior posted 25 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in the win over Longwood.
*Barnett- Gay scored 22 points, 17 coming in the second half, to lead Navy to its first SEC win since 1998 against Florida.

* Mesuch averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 threes, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists across two wins.
*The freshman hit three threes and scored 15 points in the win over Longwood.
*Mesuch went 5-for-6 from deep in the first half to spark Navy’s upset victory over Florida.

Ella Meabon, Colgate, Jr., F, Fairport, N.Y./Fairport
Meabon posted a dominant 35-point, 11-rebound double-double, matching the highest scoring performance in Cotterell Court history. She shot 13-for-17 from the field while adding three assists and a block.
Simone Foreman, Holy Cross, Sr., G, Washington, D.C./Saint Andrew’s Episcopal
Foreman averaged 17.0 points while hitting her second game-winner of the season and leading Holy Cross in rebounds (19) and field-goal percentage. She posted a season-high 19 points against Marist.
Kya Smith, Army West Point, Jr., F, Lubbock, Texas/Coronado
Smith recorded a double-double against Siena before scoring a game-high 20 points with nine rebounds at Oregon. She averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds for the week

Haylie Adamski, Lafayette, Fr., G, Media, Pa./Garnet Valley
Adamski scored in double figures in both games, including 17 points against Saint Peter’s. She added five rebounds in each contest while shooting a combined 10-for-19 from the field.
Leia Edwards, Lehigh, Fy., F, London, England/Sierra Canyon
Edwards scored in double figures in both games, averaging 12.0 points with six rebounds against Vermont. She also hit a pair of threes in the matchup with La Salle.
