Play at the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship Opens Friday at Saucon Valley

The five-team championship field will play three rounds at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The 2025 Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship presented by Credit Union 1 begins on Friday, April 18, at the par-72, 7,091-yard Saucon Valley Country Club Grace Course in Bethlehem, Pa. hosts the five-team field, which includes host Lehigh, Boston University, Bucknell, Holy Cross and defending champion Navy.
 
TOURNAMENT DETAILS AND SCORING: The three-day 54-hole championship is scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The five teams will play 18 holes each day. Live scoring for the championship is available by CLICKING HERE.

INDIVIDUAL HONORS: The competitor with the lowest three-round score will be the Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship individual medalist. The top six finishers receive a spot on the All-Patriot League First Team, with the following six finishers receiving second-team honors. Patriot League women’s golf head coaches will vote for the three major awards - player, rookie and coach of the year - at the conclusion of the championship. 

RETURNING ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE SELECTIONS IN THE 2025 FIELD
Seven members of the 2024 All-Patriot League Team return to the field for the 2025 season, including two-time Player of the Year Christy Chen (Boston University, Sr.). BU junior Annika Manjunath, Lehigh junior Yuki Zhu and Navy’s Sue Lee (Jr.) and Emma Tang (So.) were first-team selections. Bucknell junior Paige Richter and Lehigh senior Madison Pineda made the 2024 second team. Boston University sophomore Amy Han, the reigning Rookie of the Year, also returns to the field.
 
BU’S CHEN, LEHIGH’S PINEDA HIGHLIGHT MULTI-YEAR ALL-LEAGUE HONOREES
Boston University’s Chen and Lehigh’s Pineda are three-time All-League honorees. Chen has made the first team in the last two seasons, while Pineda was a 2022 first-team selection before earning second-team honors in the last two seasons. Lehigh’s Zhu received first-team accolades in 2023 and 2024, and Bucknell’s Richter is a two-time second-team honoree, finishing in seventh place in both seasons.
 
CROWNING A TEAM CHAMPION: Each of the five participating teams consists of six golfers, with the top four scorers in each round counting toward the team score. The final team score will be determined by totaling all completed rounds. Individual scoring consists of the lowest aggregate score of all completed rounds. Navy is the defending Patriot League champion after winning at the Bucknell Golf Club last season. The Mids captured their second League crown. Boston University has three Patriot League titles. Bucknell (2014) and Lehigh (2013) have each won one League title. Richmond, who competed in the League as an associate member from 2015 until 2024, claimed four titles.
 
TEAM CHAMPION EARNS AUTOMATIC BID TO THE NCAA REGIONALS: The Patriot League Champion will receive the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals. The individual medalist will also receive a bid to the regionals if they are not on the championship team. The NCAA Regionals will be held from May 5-7 at six sites around the country, including Charlottesville, Va.; Columbus, Ohio; Golf Canyon, Ariz.; Lexington, Ky.; Lubbock, Texas and Norman, Okla. The championship is scheduled for May 16-21 in Carlsbad, Calif. The 2025 NCAA DI Women’s Golf Selection Show will be on GOLF Channel on Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. ET.

LEHIGH HOSTS FOR THE FOURTH TIME AT SAUCON VALLEY: The Mountain Hawks will host the Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship at Saucon Valley Country Club Grace Course for the fourth time in the 12-year history of the event. The Mountain Hawks last hosted the championship at Saucon Valley in 2021 when Navy won its first League title. The Grace Course was also the site of the women’s championship in 2014, when Bucknell won its lone title and 2017, when Richmond earned the crown.
