PATRIOT LEAGUE VS. WEEK THREE OPPONENTS
•Georgetown and Lafayette are both receiving votes in the AFCA Poll after Week Two victories and will open their League schedules against each other in D.C. on Saturday (1 p.m.). The Hoyas and Leopards have split their last 10 meetings.
•Patriot League vs. the ACC: Colgate travels to Syracuse for a Friday night game, and Richmond takes on UNC on Saturday for two more League matchups against FBS opponents. The League last defeated an FBS opponent in 2023.
•Holy Cross hosts No. 5/6 Rhode Island, marking the fourth-ranked FCS opponent for a League team this season.
•Defending Patriot League champ Lehigh travels to play defending NEC champ Duquesne in the first meeting between the two Pennsylvania programs.
•Bucknell puts a two-game win streak against VMI on the line when they host the Keydets for their home opener. QB Ralph Rucker IV threw for 340 yards and three TDs in a 35-28 win over VMI last season.
•Fordham travels to face in-state rival Stony Brook for the ninth time in series history. The Rams and Seawolves are tied, 4-4.

LEHIGH CLIMBS IN THE STATS PERFORM AND AFCA POLLS; RICHMOND, LAFAYETTE AND GEORGETOWN RECEIVE VOTES
Lehigh climbed one spot in both the AFCA Coaches Poll (to No. 12) and the Stats Perform Poll (to No. 10) after a 28-10 victory over Sacred Heart in Week Two. The Spiders are receiving votes in both polls, defeating Wofford, 14-10, on Saturday. Lafayette and Georgetown both received votes in the AFCA coaches poll.
COLGATE’S SAUNDERS TOPS FCS RECEIVING LISTS
Colgate Sr. WR Treyvhon Saunders has recorded consecutive games with more than 100 receiving yards and double-digit receptions to first among FCS leaders in receptions per game (11.5), receiving yards per game (180.0) and touchdown receptions (3). Saunders posted career-highs in receiving yards (223) and touchdown receptions (2) on 13 catches against No. 21/22 Monmouth. He helped the Raiders rack up more than 500 yards of total offense for the first time since 2018 against the Hawks, positioning Colgate 15th in the FCS in total offense (445.5) through two games.

LEHIGH’S DEFENSE LEADING EARLY SEASON SUCCESS
Through two games, Lehigh has limited opponents to 179.0 yards to rank third in the FCS in total defense, and 12.0 points per game, placing ninth in the FCS in scoring defense. The Mountain Hawks have done this by stopping the run, holding opposing offenses to 69.0 yards per game and limiting first downs, allowing just 24 in two games to rank eighth in the FCS.
FORDHAM’S CONWAY BUILDING ON LEAGUE TACKLES RECORD
Fordham Sr. LB James Conway recorded a Patriot League season-high 20 tackles in the Rams’ loss against No. 18/21 Monmouth in Week Two. The Omaha, Neb. native has recorded more than 100 total tackles in three of his four collegiate seasons and opens the 2025 campaign on the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List.

HOYAS’ HART FIFTH AMONG FCS LEADING SCORERS
Georgetown So. RB Savion Hart rushed for a five-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Hoyas’ 31-20 win over Wagner in Week Two. The Minneapolis, Minn. native rushed for touchdowns of 69 and 27 yards and caught a 73-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of the Hoyas’ 51-14 victory over Davidson in Week One. He leads the League and ranks 21st in the FCS, averaging 96.0 rushing yards per game. Additionally, he has contributed to the Hoyas’ success, as they lead the PL and rank fifth in the FCS with 234.0 rushing yards per game. Hart also leads the League and ranks fifth in the nation in scoring with 12.0 points per game.

Georgetown Jr., CB Quincy Briggs intercepted two passes in the Hoyas’ 31-20 victory vs. Wagner, including a pick to seal the win. He has recorded at least one interception in both games this season to lead the FCS with 1.5 interceptions per game. Colgate Jr. DB Tymir Wynn intercepted two passes in the season-opener against Monmouth and ranks second in the FCS with 1.0 INT per game.

Colgate’s Treyvhon Saunders leads all active FCS pass catchers with 203 receptions, nine short of matching former Colgate star Corey Hill for 10th on the Patriot League career leaders list. Lehigh Sr. WR Geoffrey Jamiel is third among FCS receivers with 165 career receptions, while Lafayette Sr. WR Elijah Steward is eighth with 145.

BIG-PLAY BACKS LEADING LEAGUE OFFENSES
Four Patriot League RBs rank among the FCS top 15 in rushing yards per carry through the first two weeks of the season, helped by several explosive carries for each of the backs. GU’s Hart had TD runs of 69 and 27 yards in a Week One win vs. Davidson. Lafayette’s Kente Edwards claimed League offensive player of the week with a career-long 78-yard run vs. Stonehill on Sept. 6. Lehigh So. RB Jaden Green and Jr. RB Luke Yoder have had runs of 29 and 28 yards, respectively, in the first two weeks of the season.
