BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Bucknell junior Liam Kilmer and Navy junior Olivia Fermo earned Patriot League Tennis Player of the Week honors when the League announced its awards on Tuesday.
Kilmer captured Patriot League Men’s Tennis Player of the Week recognition after going 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles as Bucknell secured 5-2 victories over Georgetown and 11th-ranked (Division III) Johns Hopkins.
Fermo was named Patriot League Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after posting a 4-0 combined record, going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles alongside Nicole Fu during Navy’s 2-1 weekend.
Lehigh junior Giselle Vlassis and junior Alex Van Lumich, Bucknell junior Jaycie Mair and senior Mirra Manolov, Army West Point sophomore Jackson Armistead and junior Stacey Samonte, Boston University freshman David Asenov, Colgate junior Jerome Falcon and senior Amelia Galin, and Navy senior Aniketh Ayinala earned honorable mention recognition.
Patriot League Men’s Player of the Week
Liam Kilmer, Bucknell, Jr., Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham
*Kilmer went 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles as Bucknell earned 5-2 victories over Georgetown and 11th-ranked (Division III) Johns Hopkins.
*The junior battled back at No. 1 singles to defeat NCAA Division III quarterfinalist Chakor Rajendra, 6-7, 6-4, 6-0.
*Kilmer rolled to a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles against Georgetown, having won his last four singles matches, and teamed with Oscar Bain for a 6-4 doubles victory.
Patriot League Women’s Player of the Week
Olivia Fermo, Navy, Jr., Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony’s
*Fermo posted a 4-0 combined record, going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles alongside Nicole Fu during Navy’s 2-1 weekend.
*The junior earned a three-set victory at No. 2 singles against Virginia Tech after securing a 6-4 doubles win over the Hokies’ No. 2 pairing.
*Fermo added straight-set singles wins against George Mason and contributed to a 6-1 win over Villanova and a 7-0 sweep of the Patriots.

Armistead earned a three-set victory at No. 1 singles against Air Force, rallying for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Jack Brown in Army West Point’s 4-2 match.

Asenov picked up a straight-set win at No. 2 singles in a 5-2 victory over Quinnipiac, 7-5, 6-4, after leading in his match against BYU before it went unfinished at 7-5, 0-3.
Jerome Falcon, Colgate, Jr., Spartanburg, S.C./Spartanburg
Falcon went 2-0 in singles on the weekend, including a decisive 6-0, 7-5 victory at line three to clinch the Raiders’ team win on Saturday.
Alex Van Lumich, Lehigh, Jr., Zaragoza, Spain/IES Goya
Van Lumich posted a 2-0 singles mark in Lehigh’s 2-0 week with wins over Temple and Sacred Heart, and added a No. 1 doubles victory against Sacred Heart.
Aniketh Ayinala, Navy, Sr., Charlotte, N.C./Saddleback Prep
Ayinala went 4-0 across singles and doubles in Navy’s wins over Saint Joseph’s and Villanova, earning straight-set victories at No. 2 singles in both matches.
Stacey Samonte, Army West Point, Jr., Whittier, Calif./California
Samonte compiled a 3-0 weekend, including a three-set singles win against Air Force and two doubles victories, as Army West Point went 2-0 highlighted by a 4-2 win over its service academy rival.
Mirra Manolov, Bucknell, Sr., Columbia, Mo./Hickman
Manolov finished 2-0 in singles play with wins at No. 5 against Saint Francis and No. 4 against Villanova, going undefeated on the weekend.
Amelia Galin, Colgate, Sr., Westport, Conn./Staples
Galin went 1-1 in singles and 2-0 in doubles during a 1-1 week for the Raiders, earning a straight-set singles win and two 7-5 doubles victories alongside Sophia Montero.
