WEST POINT, N.Y. – Navy shot a team score of 3-under par 277 in the final round to climb three spots on the leaderboard and win the 2026 Patriot League Men’s Golf Championship at the par-70, 6,136-yard West Point Golf Course in West Point, N.Y.
The Midshipmen captured the program’s eighth Patriot League title, earning a berth in the NCAA Division I Regionals for the first time since 2018 by finishing with a 54-hole team score of 24-under par 864.
The Mids’ Chip Deegan defeated Lafayette’s Travis Robertson after a three-hole playoff, shooting a birdie on the West Point Golf Course’s 17th hole to best Robertson’s par. Deegan shot a 3-under par 67 in the final round, finishing at 2-over par 212.
Robertson eagled the 18th hole in the final round to finish with a tournament-low 5-under par 65, matching Deegan’s 2-under par 212 to force a playoff and help Lafayette finish second in the team standings at 29-over par 869.
Deegan’s teammate Hudson Mitchell matched his final round score of 3-under par 67, shooting a 5-over par 215 (71-69-75) to tie Lehigh’s Ryan Cronin (+5, 215) for third place to join Deegan and Robertson on the All-Tournament Team. Cronin entered the day atop the leaderboard after firing an even-par 140 through 36 holes.
Loyola Maryland finished third, carding a team score of 30-over par 870, with Eli Spaulding (+6, 216) and Liam Moloney (+7, 217) finishing sixth and seventh, respectively, to round out the 2026 Patriot League All-Tournament Team. Host Army West Point slipped to fourth overall, one stroke behind the Greyhounds, finishing at 31-over par 871. The Black Knights’ Robert Ferris (+8, 218) and Tyson Sparks (+8, 218) tied for seventh.
Holy Cross placed fifth, shooting a team score of 44-over par 884, with Leo Chu (+14, 223) and Rohan Shastry (+14, 224) leading the Crusaders in a tie for 22nd. Lehigh finished fifth at 48-over par 888, with Cronin finishing tied for third and Will Caronchi (+12, 222) leading the Mountain Hawks.
Bucknell (+61, 901) and Colgate (+70, 910) rounded out the eight-team field. The Raiders’ Ronav Benak placed 10th at 9-over par 219, while the Bison’s Taylor Kuehn tied for 11th, shooting a 10-over par 220.
Navy will learn their NCAA Regionals destination when the field is announced during the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Selection Show on Wednesday, May 6, at 2 p.m. on Golf Channel.
