BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell and Holy Cross each received two of the five Patriot League field hockey weekly awards when the League office announced honors on Monday. Lafayette claimed the remaining accolade.
Patriot League Field Hockey Forward of the Week
Bella Notaro, Bucknell, Jr., Forward, Newtown Square, Pa./Episcopal Academy
*Notaro posted five points on two goals and one assist to help Bucknell go 2-0 with wins over Cornell (3-1) and Quinnipiac (2-1).
*She registered one goal and one assist against the Big Red Sunday.
*The junior forward scored the game-winning goal in the third quarter of the Bison’s win over the Bobcats on Friday.
Patriot League Field Hockey Midfielder and Rookie of the Week
Marianna Maclean, Holy Cross, Fr., Midfielder, Edinburgh, Scotland/Fettes College
*Maclean posted eight points on two goals and four assists to help Holy Cross go 2-0 with wins over Northeastern (3-2) and Merrimack (3-0), earning Patriot League Midfielder and Rookie of the Week honors.
*Her first collegiate goal proved to be the game-winner after assisting the first two goals in a 3-2 win over the Huskies on Friday.
*She scored a goal and registered two more assists in a 3-0 win over Merrimack on Sunday.
Patriot League Field Hockey Defender of the Week
Lena Thedrian, Lafayette, Sr., Defender, Hamburg, Germany/Rudolf Steiner Schule Hamburg-Wandsbek
*Thedrian scored three goals for her first career hat trick to lead Lafayette to a 4-3 win over Temple on Friday.
*She scored the game-winning goal on a shot from the top of the circle.
*The senior defender played the full 60 minutes, helping limit the Owls to eight shots, including four on goal.
Patriot League Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week
Sarah Althouse, Bucknell, Sr., Goalkeeper, Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg
*In two games, Althouse posted a save percentage of .857 and a goals-against average (GAA) of 1.0 to help the Bison defeat Cornell (3-1) and Quinnipiac (2-1).
*The senior goalkeeper made 11 saves, allowing just one goal, in the Bison’s 3-1 victory over the Big Red.
*She made one save in Bucknell’s 2-1 win over the Bobcats.

Sophie Willemse, American, Sr., Defender, Oisterwijk, The Netherlands/2College Durendael
* Willemse led the Eagles with one goal and one assist in a 2-1 victory over Appalachian State on Sunday. She averaged 55 minutes per game during American’s two-game week, anchoring a unit that allowed three goals.
Emilia Winkler, American, Sr., Midfielder, Berlin, Germany/Kant-Oberschule
*Winkler assisted the game-winning goal on a penalty corner in the Eagles’ 2-1 victory over Appalachian State on Sunday. The senior midfielder averaged 46 minutes in two games to help AU go 1-1 last week.
Morgan Willis, Colgate, Sr., Forward, Madison, N.J./Oak Knoll
*Willis totaled four goals during the Raiders’ two-game week against UAlbany and La Salle. The senior forward scored two goals in the Raiders’ 4-2 loss to the Great Danes on Friday. She scored both of Colgate’s goals in a 2-2 tie against the Explorers and leads the Patriot League in goals (6) and points (14).
Mia McCloskey, Holy Cross, Jr., Goalkeeper, Villanova, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame de Namur
*McCloskey made five saves to lead Holy Cross to a 3-2 victory over Northeastern on Friday. The win was the Crusaders’ first over the Huskies in program history.
Katie Gibb, Lafayette, Sr., Midfielder, Vancouver, B.C./Point Grey Secondary
*Gibb assisted on two goals in the Leopards’ 4-3 victory over Temple on Friday. Both assists came from penalty corner inserts, helping Lafayette convert 2-of-6 penalty corner attempts.
The Patriot League field hockey players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.
