BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The 2021 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held at Army West Point’s Shea Stadium in West Point, N.Y. Friday, April 30, through Saturday, May 1. All nine men’s programs and each of the 10 women’s teams will compete during the weekend’s events.
The Navy men’s team aims for its seventh-consecutive and eighth overall outdoor track and field title, having claimed the last championship in 2019. The Navy women’s team looks to capture its third-straight League title and fifth total outdoor championship.

PATRIOT LEAGUE TRACK & FIELD ON ESPN+: The Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be available on
ESPN+ on Saturday, May 1. Live coverage begins from Shea Stadium at 1 p.m. with D.J. Sixsmith back on the call for the League championship.
CHAMPIONSHIP HOST: This year marks the fifth time that Army West Point will host the Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Shea Stadium has previously been the site of the championship meet in 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2015.

CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE: The meet kicks off on Friday with the men’s 10,000-meter run beginning at 9 a.m., followed by the women’s 10,000-meter run at 9:45 a.m. Multi-events will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the women’s heptathlon and field events will begin with the men’s javelin starting at 11:30 a.m. The championships will conclude on Saturday afternoon with the men’s and women’s 4x400-meter relay, scheduled to begin at 5:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively. PATRIOT LEAGUE INDIVIDUAL HONORS: Patriot League major awards will be distributed based on the student-athletes individual championship finishes. For both the men and the women, the first-place finishers in each event will be named to the All-Patriot League First Team, while the second-place finishers will make the second-team. The men’s and women’s Patriot League Coach of the Year awards will be voted on by the League's head coaches, as will the individual awards including Track Athlete, Field Athlete and Rookie of the Year at the completion of the events. The League will also recognize the men’s and women’s highest point scorer of the championship meet.
