BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point claimed two of the three Patriot League baseball weekly awards when the League office announced honors on Tuesday. Navy received one weekly accolade.
Army West Point junior 3B Sam Ruta was named Patriot League Baseball Player of the Week after batting .500 (9-of-18) with four runs and four RBIs in four games last week.
Army West Point junior RHP Tanner Gresham collected Patriot League Pitcher of the Week allowed one run in a 7.0-inning complete game victory over Wright State with a career-high 10 strikeouts.
Navy freshman infielder Henry Mitchell batted .556 (5-for-9) to receive Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors. Mitchell scored three times and drove in a pair of runs against Princeton.
Bucknell junior outfielder Grant Voytovich, Bucknell sophomore RHP Tyler O’Neill, Lehigh junior SS Tyler Young and Navy senior Nate Mitchell all received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

*Gresham tossed a 7.0-inning complete game, allowing one earned run on two hits in Army West Point’s 8-1 win over Wright State on Saturday.
*The junior right-hander struck out a career-high 10 batters and walked two while facing 26 batters against the Raiders.
PATRIOT LEAGUE BASEBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

*Mitchell batted .556 (5-for-9) with three runs and two RBIs in four games, including three wins against Princeton.
*He slugged .778 and reached base at a .667 clip with a triple and two walks. He reached base four times and scored two runs in the Mids series finale against the Tigers.

*Voytovich batted .400 (6-for-16) while slugging .467 and reaching base at a .471 clip to help the Bison sweep Rhode Island. He also went 3-for-4 with a double and two stolen bases in a loss against Marist on Wednesday.

*O’Neill tossed an 8.0-inning complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out five in Bucknell’s 3-2 victory over Rhode Island.

*Young batted .500 (11-for-22) with six runs and three RBIs to help Lehigh go 3-2 last week with one win against Coppin State and two wins against Utah Valley.
