BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy took home three Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards when the winners were released on Tuesday. Army West Point logged two wins, while Boston University earned one.
United States Naval Academy senior Brahmir Vick took home Patriot League Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after setting the Academy record in the 110-meter hurdles. Vick’s time of 13.58 ranks second in NCAA Division I. He also ran a leg of the Navy 4X100m relay team that took home first-place honors. Army West Point senior Saydee Aganus won Patriot League Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after individual wins in the 100mH and 400mH while also running a leg of the 4x100m for the Black Knights’ winning team. Aganus leads the League with a 13.90-second time in the 100mH.
Midshipmen Joshua Boamah continued his strong track and field season with individual wins in the shot put (19.09m / 62’ 7.75”), discus (54.71m / 179’ 6”), and hammer throw (62.72m / 205’ 9”) en route to Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors. Boamah’s shot put mark broke a Navy record that had stood for 60 years, and ranks third in NCAA Division I. His discus and hammer throw marks rank 26th and 24th, respectively. Boston University’s Peace Omonzane earned Patriot League Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week after her performance in the triple and long jumps at the Miami Hurricane Invitational. Omonzane logged a 12.74m (41’ 9.75”) mark in the triple jump, which ranks seventh nationally. Her long jump mark of 5.92m (19’ 5.25”) places her 31st nationally. Both marks currently lead the Patriot League.
Marcel Jackson of Navy earned Patriot League Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week honors following a runner-up finish in the 100m (10.67) and a fifth-place finish in the 200m (21.80) at Navy’s season-opening event. He was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that placed second with a time of 41.36. Army West Point’s Claire Wimer won Patriot League Women’s Outdoor Rookie of the Week with a mark of 37.96m in the javelin. Her toss ranks second in the Patriot League.
Army West Point’s Cameron Smith, Kayley Ragazzini and Ronald De Madet, Boston University’s Ryan Rosenberger, and Navy’s Alayna Schloeder and Sophie Compton earned honorable mention honors for their efforts this week.

*Vick set the Naval Academy record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.58 seconds.

*Smith leads the League in the hammer throw with a toss of 63.20m (207’ 4”).
*His mark also ranks 20th in NCAA Division I.

*Ragazzini placed second in the discus (49.99m / 164’) and third in the hammer throw (54.09m / 177’ 5”).
*Her career-best mark in the discus leads the Patriot League.
Ronald De Madet, Army West Point, Fr., Jumps, Frisco, Texas/Frisco Memorial
*De Madet opened up his track and field season with a win at the Army Open in the triple jump with a leap of 13.55m.
Ryan Rosenberger, Boston University, Jr., Jumps, Malvern, Pa./Malvern
*Rosenberger logged a 7.30m (23’11.5”) mark in the long jump at the Miami Hurricane Invitational.
*His mark ranks 32nd in NCAA Division I.
Alayna Schloeder, Navy, Sr., Pole Vault, Rockford, Minn./Rockford
*Schloeder won the pole vault with a qualifying height of 3.81m (12’ 6”).
*Her mark leads the Patriot League and ranks 46th in NCAA Division I.
Sophie Compton, Navy, So., Distance, San Diego, Calif./Point Loma
*Compton earned wins in the 800m (2:13.16) and 1,500m (4:33.90).
*Both marks lead the Patriot League.

PATRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2024 Patriot League Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held at Bucknell University's Christy Mathewson - Memorial Stadium beginning Friday, May 3 and concluding on Saturday, May 4. All nine men's programs and each of the ten women's programs will compete in the events.
