Patriot League Announces M-F Athletic Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Honors (5.5.26)

Army West Point, Boston University, Bucknell and Lehigh collect weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point and Bucknell each collected two Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. Boston University and Lehigh each received one honor.  

Boston University junior Micah Perry was named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after clocking the League’s second-fastest time in the 110m hurdles (14.10) and the third-quickest mark in the 400m hurdles (52.90).

Skye Chambers collected Army West Point’s fifth Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week award of the season following a runner-up finish in the 800m at the Larry Ellis Invitational with the League’s top time at 2:02.93, which ranks 37th in NCAA Division I.

Lehigh sophomore Jaden Ferguson collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors after winning two events in the dual against Lafayette, which included recording the League’s top mark in the high jump (2.07m).

Bucknell junior Evelyn Bliss tied the League’s single-season record with her fourth Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honor after winning the javelin at the Kehoe Twilight with a facility and meet record mark of 55.93m.

Bison freshman Alex Polenik earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week honors for the first time in his career following a third-place finish in the discus at the Kehoe Twilight.

Army West Point freshman Abigail Ringwood garnered Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week honors following an 11th-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Larry Ellis Invitational.

Patriot League Outdoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Micah Perry, Boston University, Jr., Gresham, Ore./Sam Barlows

*Perry took fourth in the 110m hurdles (14.10), helped the Terriers finish seventh in the 4x100m (40.79) and was 12th in the 400m hurdles (52.90) at the East Coast Relays.
*The junior clocked the Patriot League’s second-fastest time in the 110m hurdles and third in the 400m hurdles.

*Chambers posted a runner-up finish in the 800m at the Larry Ellis Invitational with the fastest time in the Patriot League at 2:02.93, which ranks 37th in NCAA Division I.

Jaden Ferguson, Lehigh, So., Charlottesville, Va./Woodberry Forest

*Ferguson won two events in Lehigh’s dual meet against Lafayette, including the high jump with a Patriot League-leading mark of 2.07m.
*The sophomore added a victory in the long jump with a season-best mark of 7.14m and competed on the second-place 4x100m relay.

Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Evelyn Bliss, Bucknell, Jr., Rimersburg, Pa./Union AC Valley

*Bliss tied the Patriot League single-season record with her fourth weekly award after winning the javelin at the Kehoe Twilight with a facility and meet record throw of 55.93m.
*The junior continues to lead the Patriot League and NCAA Division I in the javelin with a throw of 61.34m.

Patriot League Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week
Alex Polenik, Bucknell, Fr., Clymer, Pa./Penn Manor

*Polenik recorded a third-place finish in the discus at the Kehoe Twilight with a throw of 49.38m.
*The freshman ranks third in the Patriot League in the discus (51.18m) and ninth in the shot put this season (15.66m)

Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week
Abigail Ringwood, Army West Point, Fr., Auburn, N.Y./Auburn

*Ringwood recorded an 11th place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a time of 10:37.89, which ranks fifth in the Patriot League and sixth all-time at West Point.

*Brochu recorded a fourth-place finish in the 1,500m at the Kehoe Twilight with a personal-best time of 4:29.75.

Gregory Celariste, American, Fr., Newburg, N.Y./Don Bosco Prep
*Celariste helped American place seventh in the 4x100m relay (42.03) and finished 10th in the 200m (22.00) at the Kehoe Twilight.

Cooper Michaud, American, Sr., Providence, R.I./Classical
*Michaud won the 3,000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:04.53 and took fourth in the 3,000m (8:43.95) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet.

Asher Bowcutt, Army West Point, Fr., West Jordan, Utah/Copper Hills
*Bowcutt finished 22nd in the shot put at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a mark of 15.40m, which ranks 11th in the Patriot League this season.

Josh Duncan, Army West Point, Jr., South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North
*Duncan won the 200m (21.04), helped the Black Knights finish second in the 4x100m relay (39.84) and took fourth in the 100m (10.50) at the Larry Ellis Invitational.

Jordan Hecht, Army West Point, Jr., Apple Valley, Minn./Rosemount
*Hecht was victorious in the shot put (16.69m), took fifth in the discus (48.16m) and placed 13th in the hammer throw (53.93m) at the Larry Ellis Invitational.

Zane Hicke, Army West Point, Jr., Dallas, Texas/Marcus
*Hicke placed fourth in the high jump at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a mark of 2.01m, which ranks second in the Patriot League.

Adrienne Buettner-Cable, Boston University, Jr., Des Moines, Iowa/Theodore Roosevelt
*Buettner-Cable captured the 5,000m title at the Jay Carisella and Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational with a time of 16:06.98, which ranks second in the Patriot League and ranks 76th in the NCAA East Region.

Andre Clark, Boston University, Fr., South Berwick, Maine/Marshwood
*Clark finished 20th in the 100m (10.55) and 33rd in the 200m (21.53) at the East Coast Relays as his 100m time ranks seventh in the Patriot League.

*Margalit recorded a runner-up finish in the triple jump at the Jay Carisella and Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational with a mark of 14.50m, which ranks fourth in the Patriot League.

Madison Sorrell, Boston University, Sr., Fort Worth, Texas/Benbrook
*Sorrell won the discus with a mark of 47.14m and took third in the shot put (14.00m) at the Jay Carisella and Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational.

Jared Hess, Bucknell, Jr., Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge
*Hess finished second in the triple jump at the Kehoe Twilight with a personal-best leap of 14.68m, which leads the Patriot League.

Alexandra Lea, Bucknell, So., Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh
*Lea won the 400m with a school record time of 52.90 and anchored Bucknell’s 4x100m relay that finished seventh at the Kehoe Twilight.

Preston Lubeski, Bucknell, Jr., West Chester, Pa./West Chester Henderson
*Lubeski had two top-six finishes at the Kehoe Twilight as the junior took fourth in the 4x100m relay (41.08) and sixth in the 400m (48.11).

Emilia Smith, Bucknell, Fr., Winnetka, Ill./Winnetka
*Smith finished eighth in the triple jump (11.63m) and ninth in the long jump (5.63m) at the Kehoe Twilight Meet.

Celia Kulis, Holy Cross, Sr., Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington
*Kulis reset her school record in the 100m hurdles, clocking a time of 13.55 to finish tied for sixth at the Duke Twilight. Her new mark currently leads the Patriot League this season.

Joseph Mahon, Holy Cross, Jr., Woburn, Mass./Woburn Memorial
*Mahon turned in a record-breaking performance in the 5,000m at the Duke Twilight, clocking a time of 13:54.70 to surpass previous record holder Mark Murray's 1978 time of 14:18.02. Mahon now ranks fourth in the Patriot League in the 5,000m.

Megan Moran, Holy Cross, Fr., Westfield, Mass./Westfield
*Moran broke the Holy Cross record in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Jay Carisella and Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational with a time of 10:56.91.

Alexander Caba, Lafayette, Jr., Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck
*Caba won the 200m at the Lafayette-Lehigh dual, tying the school record with a time of 21.10, and ran the second leg on the winning 4x100m (40.65).

Kennedy Miller, Lafayette, Fr., Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Catholic
*Miller won the hammer throw at the Lafayette-Lehigh Dual with a personal best of throw of 48.52m and finished as the runner-up in the shot put (13.08m).

Alex Heidemann, Lehigh, Sr., Easton, Pa./Freedom
*Heidemann won the 800m (1:50.88) in Lehigh’s dual against Lafayette and ran the anchor leg on the winning 4x400m.

Laura Reigle, Lehigh, Sr., Hilton, N.Y./Hilton Central
*Reigle won the pole vault in Lehigh's dual meet victory over Lafayette, clearing the bar at 3.88m as she continues to lead the Patriot League in the event.

Jade Sanders, Lehigh, So., Middletown, Del./Abington Friends School
*Sanders won two events in Lehigh’s dual meet win over Lafayette, placing first in the 200m (25.16) and 400m (54.88).

Cole Swick, Lehigh, Fy., Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain
*Swick helped Lehigh win the 4x400m and place second in the 4x100m to go along with a third-place finish in the 200m in the dual against Lafayette.

Jia Anderson, Navy, Sr., Wilmington, Del./Padua Academy
*Anderson finished second in the 100m hurdles at the Larry Ellis Invitational with the second-fastest time in school history at 13.620.

Matt Newell, Navy, Sr., Columbus, Ind./Columbus North
*Newell set a school record in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:40.61 at the Larry Ellis Invitational. The senior’s time is third in the Patriot League.

Cooper Wakley, Navy, So., Broken Arrow, OK/Broken Arrow
*Wakley recorded a runner-up finish in the pole vault at the Larry Ellis Invitational with a personal-best height of 5.20m, which ranks second in the Patriot League.

PATRIOT LEAGUE OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS 
The 2026 Patriot League Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Annapolis, Md., at the United States Naval Academy’s Ingram Field, beginning Friday, May 15 and concluding on Saturday, May. 16. All nine men's programs and each of the 10 women's teams will compete.
