BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point collected four of the six Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the final set of honors on Tuesday. Boston University and Loyola Maryland each garnered an award.
Boston University sophomore Thomas Cowan collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 800m at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships. Cowan clocked a time of 1:48.90, which ranks sixth in the Patriot League.
Army West Point’s Sabrina Sardar was honored as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 400m hurdles at the West Point Twilight. The freshman clocked a time of 1:01.68, which ranks fourth in the Patriot League.
Black Knights’ junior Zane Hicke was selected as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week after winning the high jump at the West Point Twilight with the League’s top mark at 2.07m.
Army West Point senior Zoe Whaley recorded a runner-up finish in the high jump at the West Point Twilight to be named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week.
Black Knights’ freshman Van Carter earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week recognition after winning the pole vault and placing fifth in the long jump at the West Point Twilight. Carter’s pole vault mark ranks eighth in the Patriot League headed into this week’s championship.
Loyola Maryland freshman Gabby Snowden was named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week following a fourth-place finish in the 200m at the Navy National Elite after clocking a time of 24.64, which ranks seventh in the Patriot League.
Honorable mentions went to Army West Point’s Adam Furman, Boston University’s Olivia Duca and Loyola Maryland’s Nelly Cruz.

*Cowan secured the 800m title at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships after crossing the line in 1:48.90.

PATRIOT LEAGUE OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2026 Patriot League Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Annapolis, Md., at the United States Naval Academy’s Ingram Field, beginning Friday, May 15 and concluding on Saturday, May. 16. All nine men's programs and each of the 10 women's teams will compete.
