BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy senior center Aidan Kehoe was voted the Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Player when the League office announced weekly honors on Monday. Lafayette freshman forward Christian Humphrey-Rembert earned rookie of the week accolades.
Kehoe received Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for the first time this season after averaging a double-double with 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds during the Mids’ 2-0 week.
Humphrey-Rembert claimed his first Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week award after averaging 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds against Charlotte and Georgia Tech last week.
Boston University sophomore forward Ben Defty, Lafayette sophomore guard Caleb Williams, Lehigh junior guard Nasir Whitlock and Loyola Maryland sophomore guard Braeden Speed earned honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League men’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s men’s basketball athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*Kehoe averaged a double-double with 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds, while shooting 76.5 percent (13-of-17) from the floor in Navy’s wins over Coppin State (88-55) and Rosemont (70-23).
*The senior center scored 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting in a win against the Eagles on Friday. He also grabbed 12 boards and finished with three blocks and two steals.
*He posted nine points and 10 rebounds in 17 minutes in the Mids’ win over the Ravens.
PATRIOT LEAGUE PENFED CREDIT UNION MEN’S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Christian Humphrey-Rembert, Lafayette, Fr., F, Grand Rapids, Mich./East Kentwood
*Humphrey-Rembert averaged 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds, while shooting 47 percent (8-of-17) from beyond the arc in Lafayette’s losses against Charlotte (81-67) and Georgia Tech (95-81).
*The freshman forward finished with 12 points, shooting 4-of-9 from deep, and grabbed eight boards against the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.
*Earlier in the week, Humphrey-Rembert posted 12 points and four rebounds against the 49ers.

*Whitlock averaged 25.5 points on 60 percent (18-of-30) shooting from the floor to help the Mountain Hawks split two games last week. He scored a career-high 33 points on 10-of-16 shooting to go along with five rebounds, two assists against Penn State Hazleton. The junior guard posted 18 points, five assists and three rebounds in a loss against Monmouth on Sunday.

*Speed scored a career-high 24 points, shooting 9-of-19 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range in an 86-79 loss against George Mason. The sophomore guard also dished out six assists and grabbed three rebounds.
