BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point and Navy split the Patriot League M-F Athletics Indoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday.
Navy senior Justin Mumford earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors following a first-place finish in the 3,000m against Princeton.
Mids’ senior Sophie Richter received Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week recognition after winning the 400m against Princeton with the League’s top time (55.14).
Army West Point senior Robby Manse was named Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week following a first-place finish in the weight throw and a second-place finish in the shot put at the West Point Invitational.
For the second time this season, sophomore Zoie Tesi was named Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after winning the high jump and triple jump against Princeton.
Navy freshman Ben Marks collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Rookie of the Week recognition after winning the 800m in the Midshipmen’s meet against the Tigers.
Army West Point freshman Ellie Chapin garnered Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Rookie of the Week honors after recording a mark of 11.06m in the triple jump, which ranks fourth in the Patriot League.
Honorable mentions went to Army West Point senior Kiana Emerson and freshman Grant Hymas, Lehigh senior Grace Kennedy, senior Grace Nation senior Joe Nowakowski and freshman Chance Stuart and Navy sophomore Brain Schloeder.
Patriot League Indoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Justin Mumford, Navy, Sr., New Baden, Ill./Wesclin Senior
*Mumford won the 3,000m with the fifth-fastest time in the Patriot League at 8:06.32 in Navy’s meet against Princeton.
Patriot League Indoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Sophie Richter, Navy, Sr., Louisville, Ky./Eastern
*Richter captured the 400m title in Navy’s meet against Princeton with the Patriot League’s fastest time at 55.14, which ranks 18th in NCAA Division I.
*The senior also ran on the 4x400m relay team that finished as the runner-up (3:51.02).
Patriot League Indoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Robby Manse, Army West Point, Sr., Middletown, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy
*Manse captured the weight throw title at the West Point Invitational with a Patriot League-leading throw of 20.20m. The senior added a runner-up finish in the shot put at 16.88m, which ranks second in the League.
Patriot League Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Zoie Tesi, Navy, So., Gloversville, N.Y./Gloversville
*In Navy’s dual meet against Princeton, Tesi set the school record in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.78m (5-10) to win the event.
*The sophomore added a first-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 11.89m (39-0 ¼).
*The Gloversville, N.Y. native leads the Patriot League in both events.
Patriot League Indoor Men’s Rookie of the Week
Ben Marks, Navy, Fr., Centreville, Md./Queens Anne’s County
*Marks won the 800m in Navy’s meet against Princeton with a time of 1:53.67. The freshman was also the third leg on the winning 4x800m that tied the meet record with a time of 7:49.98.
Patriot League Indoor Women’s Rookie of the Week
Ellie Chapin, Army West Point, Fr., Whispering Pines, N.C./Union Pines
*Chapin jumped 11.06m in the triple jump to place fourth overall at the West Point Invitational. The freshman’s mark ranks ninth in the Patriot League.

Kiana Emerson, Army West Point, Sr., Redding, Calif./West Valley
*Emerson won the weight throw at the West Point Invitational with a mark of 17.03, which ranks second in the Patriot League.
Grant Hymas, Army West Point, Fr., Fair Oaks, Calif./Bella Vista
*Hymas finished third overall in the pole vault at the West Point Invitational after clearing the bar at 4.60m, which ranks eighth in the Patriot League.
Grace Kennedy, Lehigh, Sr., Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood
*Kennedy had two top-ten finishes at the Penn Select, placing second in the 400m with a time of 56.53, which ranks in the Patriot League and 42nd in NCAA Division I.
*The senior added a ninth-place finish in the 200m (25.60).
Grace Nation, Lehigh, Sr., Orefield, Pa./Parkland
*Nation placed seventh in the long jump at the Penn Select with a personal-best mark of 5.56m, which ranks seventh in Lehigh’s program history.
Joe Nowakowski, Lehigh, Sr., Palatine, Ill./William Fremd
*Nowakowski recorded a second-place finish in the shot put at the Penn Select with a mark of 16.21m, breaking the meeting record which ranks seventh all-time at Lehigh. The senior also competed in the weight throw, taking 11th with a throw of 11.73m.
Chance Stuart, Lehigh, Fy., Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy
*Stuart notched a personal-best weight throw mark of 16.27m to finish third at the Penn Select. The freshman also posted a personal-best throw in the shot put at 14.08m to earn a seventh-place finish.
Ben Schloeder, Navy, So., Buffalo, Minn./Rockford
*Schloeder claimed the pole vault title in Navy’s meet against Princeton as the sophomore cleared the bar at 5.05m (16-6 ¾).
