BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University and Navy each collected two Patriot League M-F Athletics Indoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. American and Army West Point split the remaining honors.
American senior Carver Morgan was tabbed as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 800m at the Penn State Nittany Lion Challenge. Morgan’s time of 1:48.82 ranks second in the Patriot League and fourth in NCAA Division I.
Boston University sophomore Iman Roka earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week recognition after winning the 60m hurdles at the Beantown Challenge. Roka’s time of 8.47 in the preliminaries is the best in the Patriot League.
Navy sophomore Brian Schloeder collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors after winning the pole vault at the Wesley Brown Invitational. Schloeder cleared the bar at a Patriot League-leading height of 5.20m, which ranks tied for 35th in NCAA Division I.
Boston University senior Ellie Roan garnered Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for the third time in her career after placing first in the weight throw and second in the shot put at the Beantown Challenge.
For the second time this season, Navy’s Jason Keiser was named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Rookie of the Week. The freshman won the 60m hurdles in a photo finish with the Patriot League’s fastest mark at 8.05.
Army West Point freshman Sabrina Sardar was honored as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Rookie of the Week following her performance in the 800m at the Quaker Invitational. Sardar clocked a time of 2:10.09, which ranks first in the Patriot League and 43rd in NCAA Division I.
Honorable mentions went to Army West Point’s Bret Wingard, Boston University’s Thomas Lamkin, Holy Cross’ Jake Baker, Liam Lyons and Bridget Sachs and Navy’s Olivia Baird, Sophie Compton and Patrick Gandini.

*The sophomore clocked an 8.47 in the preliminaries, which is the Patriot League’s fastest time this season and fourth-best time in school history.

*Schloeder tied the 10th-highest pole vault mark in Navy history, clearing 5.20m to win the event at the Wesley Brown Invitational.
*The sophomore leads the Patriot League with his performance and ranks tied for 35th in NCAA Division I.

*Roan collected Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for the third time in her career after winning the weight throw and placing second in the shot put at the Beantown Challenge.
*The senior’s mark of 19.50m in the weight throw leads the Patriot League and ranks 37th in NCAA Division I, while her shot put throw is second in the League and third on Boston University’s top 10 list.

*Keiser collected his second Rookie of the Week honor this indoor season after winning the 60m hurdles in a photo finish at the Wesley Brown Invitational.
*The freshman clocked the Patriot League’s fastest time at 8.05.

*Wingard recorded a mark of 15.14m to win the triple jump at the Quaker Invitational.
*The junior’s distance is first in the Patriot League, fourth in the Northeast Region and 46th in NCAA Division I.
Thomas Lamkin, Boston University, So., Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing
*Lamkin recorded a third-place finish in the 60m at the Beantown Challenge on Saturday.
*The sophomore clocked the Patriot League’s fastest time in the event this season at 6.82 seconds, which ranks sixth in Boston University history.
Jake Baker, Holy Cross, Fr., Gloversville, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy
*Baker won the weight throw at both the URI Invitational and Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational over the weekend. The freshman recorded a personal-best mark of 17.37m, which is seventh-best in the Patriot League.
Liam Lyons, Holy Cross, Sr., Irvington, N.Y./Irvington
*Lyons broke his program record in the 1,000m with a time of 2:19.31 as he captured first place in the event at Sunday's Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational.
Bridget Sachs, Holy Cross, Jr., Greenwood Village, Colo./Portsmouth Abbey (RI)
*Sachs won the pole vault at both the URI Invitational and Suffolk Ice Breaker Innovational over the weekend. On Sunday, the junior cleared a personal-best height of 3.85m, which is tied for the top mark in the Patriot League.
Sophie Compton, Navy, Sr., San Diego, Calif./Point Loma
*Compton won the mile with a season-best time of 4:49.61 and captured the title in the 1,000m (2:52.35) at the Wesley Brown Invitational.
*The senior holds the Patriot League’s fastest times in the mile and 3,000m (9:39.26).
Patrick Gandini, Navy, So., Gilford, N.H./Gilford
*Gandini captured the mile title at the Wesley Brown Invitational with a career-best time of 4:04.60, which ranks second in the Patriot League.
