Patriot League Announces M-F Athletic Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors (1.27.26)

Army West Point garners five weekly honors, Boston University collects remaining award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point received five Patriot League M-F Athletics Indoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. Boston University collected the remaining honor.

Army West Point junior Jaxon Hammond was named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after setting the school record and running the fastest 60m time in the Patriot League at 6.74 seconds.

Black Knights’ senior Charlotte Richman collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honors after setting a program record in the 3,000m with a League-leading time of 9:14.28, which ranks 33rd nationally. She also clocked the Patriot League’s second-fastest time in the mile at 4:43.72, ranking 58th in NCAA Division I.

Army West Point senior Robby Manse was honored as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. Manse earned a runner-up finish in the weight throw at the Dr. Sander Collegiate Invite with the League’s top mark at 20.43m, ranking 47th nationally.

Black Knights’ junior Jordan Hecht garnered Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week recognition. Hecht won the shot put at the Dr. Sander Collegiate Invitational with a League-leading mark of 16.07m, which ranks 28th in NCAA Division I.

Boston University freshman Samuel Anderson was tabbed as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Men’s Rookie of the Week following a first-place finish in the 4x400m and a fourth-place finish in the 400m at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.

Army West Point’s Simone Tillman is the third different Black Knight to earn Patriot League M-F Athletic Indoor Women’s Rookie of the Week honors this season. The freshman ran the League’s fourth-best time in the 400m (56.54) and helped clock the second fastest time in the 4x400m.

Honorable mentions went to Boston University’s Thomas Cowan, Ijeoma Ezechukwu, Samantha Lascelles and Peace Omonzane, Lehigh’s Harper Glennon and Navy’s Jason Keiser, William Pierce and Sophia Richter.

Patriot League Indoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Jaxon Hammond, Army West Point, Jr., Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers

*Hammond recorded a runner-up finish in the 60m and an eighth-place finish in the 200m at the Penn Elite.
*The junior clocked a time of 6.74 in the 60m, which is the fastest in the Patriot League and an Army West Point record.
*The Memphis, Tenn. native ran the 200m in 21.64, which is seventh in the League and eighth at Army West Point.

Patriot League Indoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Charlotte Richman, Army West Point, Sr., Portland, Ore./Ida B. Wells-Barnett

*Richman clocked a 9:14.28 in the 3,000m at the Penn Elite, which is the best time in the Patriot League, an Army West Point record and ranks 33rd nationally.
*The senior went on to a run a 4:43.72 in the mile, which ranks second in the Patriot League and 58th in NCAA Division I.

Robby Manse, Army West Point, Sr., Middletown, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy

*Manse, a two-time Field Athlete of the Week this year, recorded a runner-up finish in the weight throw and took sixth in the shot put (17.02m) at the Dr. Sander Collegiate Invite.
*The senior’s mark of 20.43m in the weight throw leads the Patriot League and ranks 47th in NCAA Division I.

Patriot League Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Jordan Hecht, Army West Point, Jr., Apple Valley, Minn./Rosemount

*Hecht captured the shot put title at the Dr. Sander Collegiate Invitational with a Patriot League-leading mark of 16.07m. The junior ranks 28th in NCAA Division I with her throw.

Patriot League Indoor Men’s Rookie of the Week
Samuel Anderson, Boston University, Fr., Slate Hill, N.Y./Minisink Valley

*Anderson recorded a fourth-place finish in the 400m and helped the Terriers win the 4x400m relay at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.
*The Slate Hill, N.Y. native clocked a time of 48.55 in the 400m, which ranks third in the Patriot League and fastest among freshman. He also helped BU to the second-fastest 4x400m time in the League at 3:14.85.

Patriot League Indoor Women’s Rookie of the Week
Simone Tillman, Army West Point, Fr., Hood River, Ore./Hood River

*Tillman recorded a third-place finish in the 400m at the Penn Elite with the fourth-best time in the Patriot League at 56.34. The freshman helped the Black Knights take third in the 4x400m with the No. 2 time in the League at 3:42.99.

Thomas Cowan, Boston University, So., Auckland, New Zealand
*Cowan captured the 500m title and helped Boston University to a first-place finish in the 4x400m at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.
*The sophomore anchored the 4x400m relay that notched the Patriot League’s second fastest time at 4:13.85 and the 10th all-time at BU.

Ijeoma Ezechukwu, Boston University, Sr., Shirley, Mass./Ayer Shirley
*Ezechukwu recorded a fifth-place finish in the 200m and helped Boston University win the 4x400m at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.
*The senior’s time of 24.25 in the 200m leads the Patriot League and is eighth at BU. Her second leg in the 4x400m relay gave the Terriers the top time and fourth-best in school history at 3:43.25.

Samantha Lascelles, Boston University, Fr., Christchurch, New Zealand, St. Margaret’s College
*Lascelles took second in the 1,000m and helped Boston University to a runner-up finish in the 4x400m at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite. The freshman’s time of 2:45.86 in the 1,000m broke a school record.

Peace Omonzane, Boston University, Sr., Brampton, Ontario/St. Edmund Campion
*Omonzane captured the long jump (6.06m) and triple jump titles at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.
*The senior’s mark of 12.74m in the triple jump ranks first in the Patriot League and 39th nationally.
*The Ontario native continues to lead the League in the long jump at 6.16m, ranking tied for 41st nationally.  

Harper Glennon, Lehigh, Fy., Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown
*Glennon collected victories in the 60m and 200m (26.20) at the Moravian Hounds Classic. The first-year clocked a personal-best time of 7.71 in the 60m, which ranks second at Lehigh and fifth in the Patriot League.

Jason Keiser, Navy, Fr., Kendall, Park, N.J./South Brunswick
*Keiser, the reigning Rookie of the Week, posted a season-best time of 7.99 in the 60m hurdles preliminaries at the Penn Elite. The freshman’s time leads the Patriot League and ranks tied for 107th in NCAA Division I.

William Pierce, Navy. Jr., Sterrebeek, Belgium/Brussels American School
*Pierce captured the long jump title at the Penn Elite with a personal-best mark of 7.40m (24-3 ½).
*The junior’s mark leads the Patriot League, ranks tied for 53rd in NCAA Division I and tied for seventh in Navy history.

Sophia Richter, Navy, Jr., Louisville, Ky./Woodrow Wilson
*Richter won the 400m at the Penn Elite with a Navy program record time of 54.26. The junior’s mark leads the Patriot League and ranks 45th nationally.

PATRIOT LEAGUE INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS 
The 2025-26 Patriot League Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Boston, Mass. at the BU Track & Tennis Center beginning Saturday, Feb. 28 and concluding on Sunday, Mar. 1. All nine men's programs and each of the 10 women's teams will compete
