Patriot League Announces M-F Athletic Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Honors (4.14.26)

Five Patriot League schools collect weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy collected two Patriot League M-F Athletics Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. Army West Point, Boston University, Bucknell and Lafayette each collected an award.

Navy senior Nathan Kent collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors after running the League’s fastest 100m and 200m times as well as anchoring the Midshipmen’s 4x400m relay team that won the event to seal the 103-100 victory over Army West Point.

Boston University senior Jada Smith was named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after recording four top-six finishes at the South Florida Invitational.

Lafayette senior Bobby McClosky earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week recognition after winning the javelin at the Rutgers Relays. McClosky’s mark leads the Patriot League, is 25th in the NCAA East Region and 46th in NCAA Division I.

For the second straight week, Bucknell’s Evelyn Bliss was selected as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. The junior won the javelin at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a Patriot League and NCAA Division I-leading throw of 61.34m.

Navy freshman Jason Keiser was selected as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week after winning the 110m and 400m hurdles at the Star Meet.

Army West Point freshman Simone Tillman is the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week for the second straight week after capturing first-place finishes in the 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m at the Star Meet.

Honorable mentions went to Army West Point’s Nathan Davis, Jordan Hecht and Robby Manse; Boston University’s Zachary Cox and Ellie Roan; Bucknell’s Henry Didden, Alexandra Lea and Alex Polenik; Holy Cross’ Celia Kulis; Navy’s William Pierce and Zoie Tesi.  

Patriot League Outdoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Nathan Kent, Navy, Sr., Rocklin, Calif./Rocklin

*Kent won the 200m (20.76) and the 400m (46.70) at the Star Meet, clocking the Patriot League’s fastest time in both events.
*The senior anchored the Midshipmen’s 4x400m relay team that won the event in 3:13.10 to seal the 103-100 victory over the Black Knights.
*The Rocklin, Calif. native’s 200m ranks 27th in the East Region and 53rd in NCAA Division I.

Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Jada Smith, Boston University, Sr., Wellington, Fla./Palm Beach Central

*At the South Florida Invitational, Smith took third in the 100m (11.57), third in the 4x100m (45.49), fourth in the 4x400m (3:41.90) and sixth in the 200m (23.88).
*The senior leads the Patriot League in the 100m and is third in the 200m, while ranking 84th in the East Region in the 100m.
*She helped the Terriers clock the League’s top 4x100m time that broke a school record.

Patriot League Outdoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Bobby McClosky, Lafayette, Sr., East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg South

*McClosky captured the javelin title at the Rutgers Relays, recording the third-best mark in Lafayette history at 66.20m.
*The senior’s mark leads the Patriot League, ranks No. 25 in the NCAA East Region and No. 46th nationally.

Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Evelyn Bliss, Bucknell, Jr., Rimersburg, Pa./Union AC Valley

*Bliss captured the javelin title at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a record-breaking throw of 61.34m on her third attempt.
*The junior continues to the lead the Patriot League and NCAA Division I in the javelin.

Patriot League Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week
Jason Keiser, Navy, Fr., Kendall Park, N.J./South Brunswick

*Kesier played a key role in Navy’s victory over Army West Point at the Star Meet as the freshman won both the 110m (14.05) and 400m hurdles (53.27).
*The Kendall Park, N.J. native leads the Patriot League in the 110m hurdles and ranks second in the 400m hurdles.

Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week
Simone Tillman, Army West Point, Fr., Hood River, Ore./Hood River Valley

*Tillman, the reigning Rookie of the Week, captured first-place finishes in the 200m (24.05), 4x100m (46.45) and 4x400m (3:47.02) at the Star Meet.
*The freshman is tied for the Patriot League lead in the 400m (54.29), fourth in the 200m (24.05) and 13th in the 100m (12.17).
*The Hood River, Ore. native ranks 82nd in the NCAA East Region in the 400m.

Honorable Mention
Nathan Davis, Army West Point, Sr., East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia
*Davis won the 3,000m steeplechase (8:55.89) and the 5,000m (14:17.86) at the Star Meet, clocking the Patriot League’s fastest time in both events.
*The senior’s 3,000m steeplechase time ranks 26th in the NCAA East Region and 58th nationally.

Jordan Hecht, Army West Point, Jr., Apple Valley, Minn./Rosemount
*Hecht recorded first-place finishes in the shot put (16.82m) and discus (50.56m) as well as a third place in the hammer throw (51.99m) at the Star Meet.
*The junior leads the Patriot League in both the discus and shot put.

Robby Manse, Army West Point, Sr., Middletown, N.J./Christian Brothers
*Manse won the hammer throw (63.53m) and finished as the runner-up in the shot put (17.05m) at the Star Meet.
*The senior’s hammer throw mark leads the Patriot League, ranks 29th in the East Region and 55th in NCAA Division I.

Zachary Cox, Boston University, Fr., Petersfield, Jamaica/Cornwall College
*Cox won the 200m (20.98) and took fifth in the 100m (10.36), while helping the Terriers finish second in the 4x100m (40.49) and fourth in the 4x400m (3:11.11) at the South Florida Invitational.
*The freshman ran the League’s fastest 100m time and second quickest 200m mark.

Ellie Roan, Boston University, Sr., Sebastopol, Calif./West County
*Roan captured the hammer throw (62.52m) title, finished as the runner-up in the shot put (14.64m) and took fourth in the discus (44.39m) at the South Florida Invitational.
*The senior leads the Patriot League in the hammer throw and ranks 25th in NCAAA Division I.

Henry Didden, Bucknell, Sr., Woodland Hills, Calif./Viewpoint
*Didden celebrated Senior Day in style at the Bison Outdoor Classic, winning the 10,000m with a personal-best time of 29:35.45.
*The senior’s time is second in the Patriot League and 37th in the NCAA East Region.

Alexandra Lea, Bucknell, So., Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh
*Lea won the 200m at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a program-record time of 23.53 and anchored the 4x100m that finished second.
*The sophomore’s 200m time leads the Patriot League and ranks 58th in the NCAA East Region, while her 400m mark is third in the League.

Alex Polenik, Bucknell, Fr., Clymer, Pa./Penn Manor
*Polenik finished as the runner-up in the discus (51.18m), 14th in the shot put (15.66m) and 37th in the hammer throw at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
*The freshman’s discus throw is third in the Patriot League and his shot put mark is ninth.

Celia Kulis, Holy Cross, Sr., Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington
*Kulis broke the school record in the heptathlon, scoring 5,024 points to win the event at the Tufts Spring Invitational.
*The senior holds the Patriot League’s fastest 100m hurdles time at 13.76.

William Pierce, Navy, Jr., Sterrebeek, Belgium/Brussels American School
*Pierce won the long jump at the Star Meet after recording a leap of 7.54m, which leads the Patriot League and ranks fifth-best in school history.

Zoie Tesi, Navy, So., Gloversville, N.Y./Gloversville
*Tesi led the Mids to a victory in the Star Meet as the sophomore captured the titles in the triple jump (12.78m), long jump (6.04m) and high jump (1.72m).
*She leads the Patriot League in the high jump, ranks second in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump.

PATRIOT LEAGUE OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS 
The 2026 Patriot League Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Annapolis, Md., at the United States Naval Academy’s Ingram Field, beginning Friday, May 15 and concluding on Saturday, May. 16. All nine men's programs and each of the 10 women's teams will compete.
