BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second time this season, Navy’s First Varsity 8+ received Patriot League Boat of the Week honors, when the League office announced the award on Tuesday.

Regatta: Lake Wheeler Invitational – Lake Wheeler, Raleigh, N.C. / 2,000 meters
*Navy’s First Varsity 8+ recorded two fourth-place finishes and a fifth-place finish at the Lake Wheeler Invitational.
*The Mids took fourth in the opening race (6:41.100), defeating Boston College and Georgetown, and were fifth in their second race (6:41.610), finishing ahead of Kansas. Navy clocked its fastest time of the day in the final race at 6:37.180 to finish fourth, ahead of George Washington, Kansas and Villanova.
*Navy competed against several nationally ranked teams including No. 13 Duke, No. 14 Miami, No. 15 Alabama and No. 25 Oklahoma as well as Clemson, Louisville and SMU.

*Boston University’s Second Varsity 4+ captured two first-place finishes competing against Delaware, Holy Cross and Rhode Island. The Terriers clocked winning times of 7:48.3 in race one and 7:47.3 in race two.
Loyola Maryland First Varsity 4+
Regatta: Gifford Pinchot Regatta – Gifford Pinchot State Park, Lewisberry, Pa. / 2,000 meters
*Loyola Maryland captured the First Varsity 4+ title at the Gifford Pinchot Regatta, finishing in 7:32.50 and defeating runner-up Binghamton by 50 seconds.

PATRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Rowing Championship will be held on Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J., on Friday, May 15. Patriot League members Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Loyola Maryland, MIT and Navy will compete in the full-field championship, which features Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Second Varsity Four races. The winning team receives the Patriot League's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. Boston University is the defending champion of the Patriot League. The championship will be streamed on ESPN+.
