BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy senior infielder Victor Izquierdo and junior right-handed pitcher Brady Bendik earned Patriot League Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively. Holy Cross freshman infielder Owen Stelzer was named Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Navy’s Izquierdo collected Patriot League Baseball Player of the Week honors for the first time. He hit .444 (4-for-9), slugged .778 and posted a .643 on-base percentage to help the Mids take two of three games from Lehigh. He doubled three times, drove in four runs and scored three times.
Navy’s Bendik tossed a seven-inning complete-game shutout to earn the win over Lehigh for his second Patriot League Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor of the season. He allowed just two hits and struck out nine in the Mids’ 8-0 win over the Mountain Hawks on Saturday.
Holy Cross’ Stelzer took home Patriot League Baseball Rookie of the Week for the first time, batting .333 (2-for-6) with a home run and five RBIs to help the Crusaders go 3-0 last week, including two wins against Army West Point.
Army West Point sophomore RHP Michael Delph and senior 1B Carter Hewitt, Bucknell sophomore 1B Lleyton Coupe and sophomore RHP Everett Garber, Holy Cross junior IF Ryan Grundy and Lehigh senior RHP Cole Leaman received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

*He struck out the final three batters of the game after allowing a lead-off double to record the fifth complete game of his career.

*Stelzer batted .333 (2-for-6) and slugged .833, with one home run and five RBIs in three game, including two wins over Army West Point.
*The freshman infielder hit a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning of the Crusaders’ 16-6 victory over Army West Point in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader.
*He went 1-for-2 with an RBI in an 11-5 win in game one against the Black Knights.
