BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point and Bucknell each received two Patriot League M-F Athletics Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. Boston University and Navy each collected an award.
Bucknell sophomore Ethan Pratt-Perez collected Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 3,000m steeplechase at the Colonial Relays with the League’s fastest time at 9:03.07.
Army West Point junior Mikayla Cheney earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honors after clocking the League’s fastest 1,500m time and second quickest 800m mark.
Navy sophomore Brian Schloeder received Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Week recognition following a runner-up finish in the pole vault at the Sam Howell Invitational. Schloeder cleared the bar at 5.27m, which leads the Patriot League and ranks tied for third in school history.
Bucknell junior Evelyn Bliss was honored as the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after winning the javelin at the Colonial Relays with the nation’s top mark at 59.95m.
Boston University freshman Zachary Cox was named the Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week after clocking the League’s fastest 100m time at 10.38.
Army West Point freshman Simone Tillman earned Patriot League M-F Athletic Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week honors after running the League’s second-fastest 400m time.
Honorable mentions went to American’s Cooper Michaud, Army West Point’s Matthew Palchak and Todd Worth, Boston University’s Kendall Barnhart and Ellie Roan, Bucknell’s Alexandra Lea, Wade Shomper and Julia Sobilo, Lehigh’s Abby Klebe, Grace Nation and Joe Nowakowski and Navy’s Zoie Tesi.

*Pratt-Perez won the 3,000m steeplechase at the Colonial Relays with the League’s fastest time at 9:03.07.
*The sophomore was a member of the second-place 4x100m relay and helped the Bison win the event for the third straight year.

Mikayla Cheney, Army West Point, Jr., New Castle, Colo./Coal Ridge
*Cheney finished sixth in the 1,500m (4:13.81) and took 24th in the 800m (2:06.63) at the Florida Relays.
*The junior’s 1,500m time leads the Patriot League and is a program record, while her 800m mark is second in the League.

Brian Schloeder, Navy, So., Buffalo, Minn./Rockford
*Schloeder tied the third-best pole vault mark in school history as he finished in second place at 5.27m at the Sam Howell Invitational.
*The sophomore leads the Patriot League with his performance and ranks tied for 33rd in NCAA Division I.
Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Evelyn Bliss, Bucknell, Jr., Rimersburg, Pa./Union AC Valley
*Bliss shattered the meet and facility record for the javelin at the Colonial Relays, winning the event with a mark of 59.95m.
*The junior eclipsed a record-mark of 56.00m, set by Marilyn Senz at the 1991 Pan American Games.
*The Rimersburg, Pa. native leads the Patriot League and NCAA Division I in the javelin.
Patriot League Outdoor Men’s Rookie of the Week
Zachary Cox, Boston University, Fr., Petersfield, Jamaica/Cornwall College
*Cox recorded a third-place finish in the 100m (10.38) and helped the Terriers take third in the 4x100m (40.61) at the UConn Dog Fight.
*The freshman’s 100m time leads the Patriot League and ranks tied for 52nd in the NCAA East Region.
Patriot League Outdoor Women’s Rookie of the Week
Simone Tillman, Army West Point, Fr., Hood River, Ore./Hood River Valley
*Tillman led the Black Knights to finish 14th in the 4x400m and 23rd in the 4x100m and took 34th in the 400m at the Florida Relays.
*The freshman ranks first in the Patriot League in the 4x400m relay (3:40.42), second in the 400m (54.75) and third in the 4x100m relay (46.37).

*Michaud recorded a third-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase at the GM Dalton Ebanks Invitational with the Patriot League’s fourth-fastest time at 9:12.71.
Matthew Palchak, Army West Point, So., Davis, Calif./Jesuit
*Palchak recorded a third-place finish in the shot put at the Florida Relays after recording the Patriot League’s second-best mark at 17.91m, which ranks fifth at Army West Point.
Todd Worth, Army West Point, Fr., Helotes, Texas/San Antonio Antonian High School
*Worth took 26th in the 800m at the Florida Relays with a time of 1:49.07, which ranks third in the Patriot League and ninth in Army West Point history.
Kendall Barnhart, Boston University, So., Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland
*Barnhart won the 400m at the UConn Dog Fight with the Patriot League’s fastest time at 59.73, which ranks 36th in the NCAA East Region.
Ellie Roan, Boston University, Sr., Sebastopol, Calif./West County
*Roan won the hammer throw at the UConn Dog Fight with a mark of 60.01m, which leads the Patriot League, ranks 22nd in the East Region and 42nd in NCAA Division I.
Alexandra Lea, Bucknell, So., Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh
*Lea won the 400m and 4x400m relay and recorded a runner-up finish in the 4x100m at the Colonial Relays.
*The sophomore clocked the Patriot League’s top 400m time at 54.65, while helping the Bison win the event for the third straight year.
Wade Shomper, Bucknell, Sr., Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley
*Shomper picked up the win in the shot put (17.33m) and finished third in the discus (48.92m) at the Colonial Relays.
Julia Sobilo, Bucknell, Fr., Garfield, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy
*Sobilo finished first in the discus and seventh in the hammer at the Colonial Relays. The freshman’s mark of 45.95m in the discus ranks second in the Patriot League.
Abby Klebe, Lehigh, Sr., Chesterbrook, Pa./Conestoga
*Klebe placed second in the 1,500m at the Sam Howell Invitational with a school record time of 4:22.32, which ranks fourth in the Patriot League.
Grace Nation, Lehigh, Sr., Orefield, Pa./Parkland
*Nation took third in the triple jump (12.02m) and ninth in the long jump (5.39m) at Princeton’s Sam Howell Invitational.
Joe Nowakowski, Lehigh, Sr., Palatine, Ill./William Fremd
*Nowakowski earned three podium finishes at the Muhlenberg Outdoor Invitational, winning the shot put (16.36m), while placing the third in the hammer throw (41.40m) and the discus (40.03m).
Zoie Tesi, Navy, So., Gloversville, N.Y./Gloversville
*Tesi won the high jump for the third straight meet with the Patriot League’s top height at 1.72m and recorded a career-best long jump distance at 5.64m at the Sam Howell Invitational.

PATRIOT LEAGUE OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2026 Patriot League Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Annapolis, Md., at the United States Naval Academy’s Ingram Field, beginning Friday, May 15 and concluding on Saturday, May. 16. All nine men's programs and each of the 10 women's teams will compete.
